The Kryptonite-Coated Rope
One of the earliest examples of Wayne know-how. Just take some Kryptonite dust, mix it in an emulsion of buttermilk and salt, and you jus' hawg-tied a Man (or Maid) of Steel! Note: Kryptonite gives Kryptonians symptoms of radiation poisoning, including, but not limited to--fever, nausea, vomiting, sluggish mental processing, and death. The Kryptonian also starts turning green the longer the exposure. Weirdly enough, I haven't seen flesh burning when in physical contact, or hair/teeth loss, cancer, or leukemia. |
C'mere, Supes, ya ol' duffah!
Oye! One klonk on the noggin with the Kryptonite Batarang, and it's Goodnite, Irene! If you can read the word balloons, Batman is riffing off of then fan fave, Jackie Gleason! Annnnd awaaaaayyy we go! BTW, who's flyin' dat Batplane??? |
Speak softly, love.......
Maybe I'm just an old codger, but I really like these books of the 20th century! This one came out around the time of Shaft and "The Godfather", where La Familia was at its best and brightest. If you get this issue, you won't find Krypto's head in Clark's bed. |
...and after I mop the floor with you, I'll do the dishes!
Here we are at the end of this retrospective. Bruce goes to the local A&P, buys some "Living Gloves", and laces 'em with "special K". This issue is a reprint of World's Finest 176. A great story with decent art by Neal Adams. Jimmy Olsen, Robin, Batgirl, and Supergirl are along for the ride. Good ol' fashioned slugfest. To all the boys and girls of hcrealms.com, forget Frank Miller and his "kewl" bulky Kryptonite gloves. THIS is the real deal. Or is it? Go and buy this issue! |
Roll your mouse over these Weather Pixies to see what cities they represent!!!
In my spare time, I make "music". They are remixes using a handy dandy program called ACID. Give it a listen by clicking the link below!
