Bridge Artwork

When I first started this site, there was a quote on every page that said, "I am always doing that which I cannot do in order that I might learn how to do it." -Pablo Picasso That quote has very much been the foundation of many of my endeavors in building this web site. Since discovering Moon and Back Graphics, this site has taken on a life of its' own. I had this vision that some day I would create a web set comparable to the ones found on Moon and Back's web site. Many of Moon and Back's web sets are original photography. I just knew that some day, I would do it.

In early March we had a nice weekend, so we took Shepard out to the covered bridges. Of course, I had my camera in hand to snap pictures along the journey. Jason let Shep down and he wandered down the road and he started pulling Jason to go down the hill under the bridge. Of all the times I have been to the covered bridges, I had never been down the hill below the bridge. Amazed by the view below, I snapped some pictures hoping that I would get a good picture that would show the length of the bridge.

I came home and pieced the two pictures together and they made a nearly seemless unified picture. I was so amazed at the results that I couldn't stop there. It showed the length, but had a visible seam that wasn't attractive. I had to disguise the seam. After many errors, I finally found an effect that gave the picture more life and character. Please give me feedback on this through my guestbook or through the comments on my blog.
