January Newsletter - 2002
January - 2002
Here it is, our first newsletter!
With the end of January comes the beginning of the silly season in the MPA Motorsports garage. With only 5 weeks now until our first round of the 2002 season, we still have a mountain of work to be done. We have just received the car back from the panel beater, who has flared all the guards on the car, however, they still need to painted! A special thanks goes to Cecil Evans for his work on the guards. Cecil can be contacted on 02 4576 7363, and can look after your panel beating and fibreglassing needs.
With the car back in the garage, the process of changing the engine has begun. We still need to remove the current engine (which began as soon as the car arrived back in the garage), have the clutch rebuilt and finish off the building of the new engine. The new engine is close to completion, just waiting on the head to come back from the shop, and should be back together in the next week and ready to be lowered into the car. Once this is done, it will be off to PKW performance at Minto to have the new engine Dyno tuned and prepped for the first round at Easten Creek.
February promises to be a very busy period, (especially with my work taking me interstate for two weeks!)but nothing a few late nights under the flourescent tubes can't overcome.Until then.....
All the best.
Mark Alford.
