Kidsilk Cardigan

Here’s a cardigan I made using Rowan’s Kidsilk Haze wool. It cost a lot more than I usually would spend on wool, but it’s so beautiful and feels so soft and lovely that I couldn’t help treating myself. The yarn actually goes a long way, so I had enough left over to make a tank top as well.

The cardigan is worked in stripes, with increases and decreases to create the wavy/chevron pattern. The shape is kind of bolero-ish, in that the front is only fastened at one place, in the middle.

Materials

1 ball Kidsilk Haze shade 590 cream

1 ball Kidsilk Haze shade 582 green

1 ball Kidsilk Haze shade 606 dark pink

1 ball Kidsilk Spray shade 574 pinks

pair of 6mm needles

pair of 4.5 mm needles

Back

Using 4.5 mm needles and dark pink yarn cast on

Work four rows in garter st., then change to 6mm needles and work from chart.

The triangles (on the whole) mean k3tog – later on it may be K2tog because of shaping etc. but you’ll have got the hang of the pattern by then.

The circles mean yf.

Any problems email me!
