You saw me

Standing there

Like an outsider to the dark, cold room and its meaning.

You glanced at me

And saw a girl

Ready to untangle her hopes and fears into your lap of feelings.

You smiled at me

With your teeth slightly showing

To tell me all was right

Not to worry.

You took my hand

And held it tight

Like we were tieing a knot that could never be severed.

You began to speak

But turned away

Said a silent goodbye that made mt heart melt

Into a puddle of nothingness.

You left me behind

And took my heart with you

I lost all my feelings to you

In that dark, cold room with no meaning.

I sat there waiting

Thought what I would say

To you that day

My feelings seem so lost and deep

A cavern in the sky.

You enter dear

With great caution

Warn me of what the future beholds

I do not listen

I let you go

Into my cavern in the sky.

Saw the dogs and the cats

The barking and the hissing

Saw the light and the dark

The signs that say "Stop Here"

In the cavern in the dark.

You backed away onto the land

Where the cluds stay

Said to me

Get some help

That cavern in the sky is too thick for me.

So I'm here

To say to you

Do not let anything too close

Into your cavern in the sky.
