2nd ANNUAL NTA SOUTHEASTERN CONVENTION

mAY 20-22, 2005
Muscle Shoals, Alabama

This NTA southeastern convention will be held once again in cooperation with the Alabama Trappers Association. Here, you will find an abundance of trapping supplies, trapping demos from accomplished southern trappers and other trappers abroad, tail gater sales and everything else that you would see and get at the Annual NTA Convention but much closer to home. There was a pretty big crowd in attendance last year and everyone had a good time and a lot of fun. The TFTA will be working the trap setting contest and frying pan throw at this convention.

Some of you trappers that need to brush up on your fur putting up skills need to be in attendance. There will be some fur handlers there from the major fur houses putting on demos in order to show "you" how to handle and flesh and stretch your fur correctly in order to receive top price for your fur. This demo is second to none in fur handling knowledge!

Please consider “pitching in” and helping out at this event. This will take the help of the surrounding State Associations of Alabama to make things work smooth. Believe me, it takes a pretty good amount of people to see that everything gets done. Some of you called me or emailed me last year. Please contact me again if you can still help out this year. If you will be attending this event, please consider helping out. You don’t have to be working all day, not unless you want to. There just needs to be plenty of volunteers on the list attending the convention to be available to call upon for help. Several hours of your time will be much appreciated. I have started making a list of people who would like to help out at this event. I’m trying to get a list of volunteers who can commit to work at the convention and how much time they can put in. I know it’s hard to commit to something so far in advance. But it is important to know early on who many people are “WILLING” to be there and help out. In order to make plans for such a large event, we need to know ASAP! Please call if you would like to be added to the list. This list will be given to the Alabama Trappers Association and you will be contacted by them and directed to where you will be needed. You can call or email me and I will add you to the list. (cjacobsen@nlbengineering.com) Phone: 615-672-8546. I will keep you posted when I hear more.
