In loving memory of Amadeus

Amadeus and Tony in 1998

To The Little One I Loved So Much

Amadeus, life was so short

and I adored you so.

Tears flow freely from the pain in my heart

When I had to let you go.

Every day I look at the sun, moon and sky

and I thank God for the miricle I had for just a little while.

I love you Amadeus and always will.

Rachel

Amadeus - early 2000

What can one say to describe the animal and friend that was in essence my life. The only other animal that I love as much as I loved Amadeus is Jelani.

I truly believe that very occasionally God gives us a gift so precious to love and adore for a season.

Amadeus was born with that prevalent condition that rocks the world of so many Siamese lovers - renal failure (kidney failure).

From the very beginning Amadeus and I had such a strong bonding. Intelligent was an understatement with this cat. Try saying "no" to an intelligent Siamese and you certainly get a mouthful in return. Amadeus knew exactly what "no" meant and there was no way he would accept that word in his vocabulary. Then to top it off most nights Tony and I had a game of 'fetch the ball' and Amadeus would fetch and return any item we threw for him.

We knew from the very beginning that Amadeus was only with us for a short time. The little one I adored so much made his home with us for nearly fifteen months until the day I knew deep down in my heart that I had to let him cross the 'rainbow bridge' to once again play with his adored playmate, Buffy.

Every day of my life I thank God for the time I had with Amadeus.
