Solange's song 'Solo Star' is to be featured as the second single to be taken from the Osmosis Jones Soundtrack. The movie 'Osmosis Jones' is a cutting edge cross between live action and animated and features a cast of Bill Murray, Chris Rock and Brandy Norwood. The movie is based around a white blood cell in the body of Bill Murray whose quest is to find and destroy a new virus which has entered the body before time runs out. 'Osmosis Jones' is released in US cinemas on Friday.
A Solo Star is Born!Destiny's Child's honorary member Solange Knowles, sister of Beyonce, is to launch her own solo album soon. The album is entitled 'Solo Star' and is due for release in December 2001 or in the early months of 2002. Solange Knowles will be one of the first solo stars to emerge from the new record label 'Music World Music' which has been set up by Matthew Knowles - manager of Destiny's Child. Solange is currently tasting stardom as a dancer for Destiny's Child but is now ready to emerge as her own artist and star - as the album title shows. One of the tracks to be taken from her debut CD will be featured as the theme song for a new Disney animated series 'The Proud Family' which will air weekly. The track for this show is also named 'Proud Family' and features Destiny's ChildSolange to be Featured on New Destiny's Child AlbumSolange is due to sing on the next album by Destiny's Child. Tne next album will be a Christmas album and should be available in stores late 2001. The new album will be available on the record label created by Destiny's Child manager Matthew Knowles 'Music World Music' and is due to feature traditional family favourite Christmas songs, with solos tracks being sung by each group member. In the video they are let loose on Jermaine Dupri's house, playing basketball, driving cars, setting loose puppies and basically trashing the place! R'n'B group Jagged Edge are featured on the track and are also featured in the video alongside Jermaine Dupri. This is the latest video to be released by Lil' Bow Wow and is due to be given a UK release soon on So So Def Records and is currently available on Bow Wow's debut album 'Beware of Dog' which is in stores now!
