For many years I am a big fan of Bruce Springsteen. It's something that is hard to explain to somebody who's unfamiliar with Springsteen. I think that other fans will agree with me that you feel only completely understood when you're among other fans, when you hear other people speak with the same passion about the music from this man.

The first song I remember hearing on the radio was "The River". But since I was only twelve years old I lost track. Four years later "Born In The U.S.A." came out and from that moment I started buying and collecting everything that came out.

But the real passion came in when I saw him the first time live. It was on a hot summer night during the "Tunnel Of Love Express Tour". I will never forget the date, 28th june 1988 in Rotterdam. Before I went on the bus that took us to "De Kuip" stadium my mother told me: 'Have a really good time and enjoy yourself.' I had been looking forward to this moment for a long time. So when the band came on stage during the intro of "Tunnel Of Love" and finally Bruce with his Takamine in hand I couldn't catch my breath. When they launched into "Tunnel" I wanted to sing along but I was overwhelmed with emotions. I kept thinking about what my mother said in the morning. This must have been the definition of having a good time.

Meanwhile I have seen Springsteen in concert about 30 times and I always have that same feeling. It's the combination of the music with the lyrics and only one musician has that effect on me, so that's why I wanted a Bruce section on my page. Enjoy!
