It doesn't matter as long as Kid's there!
Here's an email i received from a Kid Rock fan with a concert experience. Maybe I should start a secrtion like that huh? Email
Just wanted to say that I just checked out your Kid Rock Web-site and
it's pretty cool. I saw Kid @ Atlanta's Georgia Dome a few weeks ago (Summer
Sanitarium Tour) along w/ KoRn, PM5K, and Syst. of a Down, and a partial
Metallica. (Jason, Kirk, and Lars - no James) I was one disapointed
headbanger when Lars and Jason came out on stage and announced that James
Hetfield wouldn't make it......but......the good side is that I was able to
see a part of Rock & Roll history in the makin'. Kid Rock scratching on the
turn tables w/ Metallica jamming, Kid Rock singing Metallica songs, and
Johnathan Davis doing a little singing w/ them too. Also, I will most
definately be at the August 4th Metallica make up concert.
Something that you may get a kick out of: Kid Rock played after PM5K
and SOAD (before KoRn and Metallica). After Kid played his portion, he went
behind stage and about 30mins. later, everyone in my section kept turning
around and looking @ one of the "press boxes". (our seats are in the club
section @ the Georg.Dome which is only a few rows ahead of the "press boxes")
It turns out that Kid Rock had retreated to one of the press boxes that was
4 rows above us, along w/ 2 babes. He was drinking a bottle of Jim Beam and
after about half (at first he was staying seated and keeping a low profile)
the bottle, he started playing to us, the crowd below him. He took off his
white tank top that he did the show in and threw it to a girl sitting one row
up from me. Then he conviced the two girls that he was with to take their
shirts off for us. They did. Of course, they looked like 60% sylacone but
who am I to complain. Then he started buzzing pretty good and he poured the
rest of his Jim Beam all over us. That was pretty cool.
I'm also looking for two tickets for the August 20th Kid Rock concert
here in Pelham, Alabama @ Oak Mntn. Amphitheater. No luck yet but I'm
looking for some scalped tix since it was sold out a day or two after they
went on sale. If you run across any, send em my way.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Sorry for the lack of updates. A few nights ago, Kid appered on FarmClub.com go there to get videos, it was a pretty good performance. He was also on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno with Kirk Hammett and Lars Ulrich from Metallica. KID ROCK BEING SUED! According to MTV.com, Kid's former manager is suing him for over $3 million. go Here for the full story. METALLICA FRONTMAN INJURED James Hettfield of Metallica was injured and had to sit out three Summer Sanitarium dates, but Kid Rock, Jon Davis, Jason newsted, and others stepped to the plate to fill in for his absence. I got some links for videos in my Audio/Video Section, and there are more at MTV.com. I'm sorry for the lack of updates lately. Today is the 10th, and PROMISE I'll have lyrics for Devil Without a Cause and Double Wide up, and maybe even a picture gallery up by Sunday
Poll Results!!! Kid Rock performed at the Grand Opening of the EMP (whcih i forgot what stands for) last night. On MTV, the showed American bad ***, Bawitdaba, and a little bit of Cowboy. It was pretty cool. Other acts at the EMP grand opeining were Metallica and Eminem. Kid will now presume with the SUmmer Sanitarium tour with KoRN, Metallica, PM5K, and System of a Down. At the Blockbuster entertainment awards Tuesday night, Kid Rock won Best Modern Rock artist and Uncle Kracker & Kid performed "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah". The poll results are in. The question was "What album was better?" Devil Withouth a Cause got 52%, History of Rock got 19%, and They were both good got 29%. A new polls up, so scroll down. I bought Double Wide yesterday, ad it's pretty cool. Kinda different than a Kid CD, but its cool. I like Heaven but i don't think Kid or Kracker will ever come here(Salt Lake) again. Anyway, some other news, In this month's Metal Edge, Kid Rock won "Best Male Performer". That's all for today, bye. TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED 8/2 - Evansville, IN @ Roberts Stadium Thanks to MTV.com "DOUBLE WIDE" RELEASED Uncle Kracker's "Double Wide" is now out. I haven't bought it yet (I'm broke hard), but from wha i've heard, its pretty good. Also, MTV's the Return of The Rock featuring Kid, Slipknot, Static-X, Dope, and more is also out. Go get em!
HISTORY OF ROCK IS OUT!!! I bought it this morning, and it's pretty cool. I really like Ya Keep On and F**k That. If ya don't got it yet, GO GET IT NOW!!! Kid Rock was on WWF Raw is War last night singing American Bad ***, which happens to be the Undertaker's theme song. It sounded pretty cool live. They didn't edit the part when he's just talking before "Twisted Brbrbrbrbrown brown". It was a great performance. Also, there's a new interview up at MTV.com.
Sincerely,
Chris Liddell
