"AJ, it's your job..."
"I know, I know...but just the thought of jumping around on stage, singing my heart out...it just makes me wanna go to sleep till next year." He sat on the bed. "A nice, comfy bed..."
"AJ you know you can't just sleep your whole life away," Brian said. He looked at his watch. "And we have to be at practice in half an hour, so you don't even have time for a nap."
"I know!" AJ screamed. "I never have time for anything!"
"Im sorry...I'll come back when we have to leave," Brian said. He was worried about AJ. 'I hope he'll be okay' Brian thought to himself. He walked out of AJ's hotel room. AJ watched him leave and almost started crying.
"Damn, no one understands me," AJ said out loud. He got up, closed his door, and made sure it was locked. He then jumped on the bed, still trying not to cry. Laying down on the bed, he stared at the ceiling for a while, liking having nothing else to do except relax, although he did have to work later. AJ looked over and saw the calender of shows they had to do. He started reading it and realized this was their last night in the hotel. AJ then opened the drawer to make sure he didn't leave anything there when he left, knowing he'd have to start packing early tomorrow morning. He pulled out a couple of his things, including his pocketknife. 'How did that get in there?' he asked himself, then shoved it in his pocket. He threw the rest of the stuff in his suitcase, which was laying open on the floor, and laid back down on his bed.
Half an hour later, he was sleeping on the bed. Suddenly there was a knock at his door. AJ sat up and rubbed his eyes. "Who the hell is it?"
"Its Brian."
"Go away."
"AJ, we have to leave now. Open the door, its locked."
"I locked it, dumbass." He stood up and opened the door.
"You okay Bone?" he asked.
"Peachy, just peachy," AJ said sarcastically, and pushed past him. He walked downstairs to the lobby where Howie, Kevin, and Nick were already, waiting. 'God damn,' AJ thought, 'I wish I weren't here.' He quickly pushed that thought out of his head and faked a smile. "Everyone ready to party?" he asked, and ran right out of the hotel. Everyone else followed him, not noticing how he acted happy when he actually wasn't.
"Yo Bone! Wake up!" Brian yelled. He shook AJ.
"Whaaat..." he groaned, acting like he just woke up.
"AJ c'mon, we gotta practice." AJ took the hat off his face and put it on his head. He got out of the limo and scowled, cussing in Spanish under his breath. Brian looked at him strangely. "You sure you're okay?" he asked AJ.
"I'm fine, God damn it, why the hell you gotta be asking me all the time!" AJ exclaimed, obviously not fine. He walked over to the other guys, trying to hide his temper. Brian just watched, then shook his head.
Later, AJ was alone in the backstage area. He was just thinking, sorta depressed. It seemed to him nowadays that no one cared about him. He curled up by the clothes rack, hugging his knees to his chest. He watched Brian and Nick walk by, chatting, joking, laughing. He then watched Howie and Kevin come from the other way, talking about some subject he had no idea about. 'No one even notices me anymore,' he said to himself. He spotted a couch-type furniture thing, so he got up and layed down on it. Usually the other guys bothered with him when he was sleeping, so maybe they'd pay some attention to him if he was out. Of course as soon as he was fast asleep, he heard, "AJ! GET THE HELL OFF THAT COUCH!" He opened his eyes to Nick jumping around. "AJ c'mon! It's almost showtime!" AJ got up quickly, not wanting to, until he heard the screaming fans out in the audience. He smiled a little and followed Nick out to where Bri, D, and Kev were. "And that's the way I like it!"
