PASTOR'S CORNER ARTICLE: LIBERTY VISION
We are good at that, aren't we? We can pick out the least little unapparent flaw in someone else and ignore our own. Some of us even make a science of character inspection; I get a mental picture of two monkeys grooming each other. Could it be that same speck resides in us; only Jesus refers to it as a log, or a plank? Why do we do that? Is it to seek a higher position, or perhaps we desire to establish a superior pecking order? Would you look for that characteristic in Jesus? Never! But let's look at it another way. If we should allow God, by His mighty grace, to first remove this big, enormous plank from our own character, we would carry with us the incredible confidence and faith that God could easily do the same for others. He removed my plank, so I know, without a doubt; he can remove that tiny little splinter from you. This is the confidence that God's salvation will give us so we can give that assurance to others. Don’t live in bittererness, let God show you the freedom of forgiveness. Trust me, you can NOT forgive without God’s grace. But in doing so, you learn to change yourself for the better instead waiting and wining that everyone else should. Gossip, slander and bad mouthing only reflects the same in your heart. Bless, and it will be returned. Curse and it will be returned. Your choice. Just like Jesus is your choice to ask for forgiveness of. Then you are freed from your wrongs and can gain His perspective on people. Joh 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. Evan God is not out to judge others. . .Yet. So seek peace and that comes truly only through Jesus, honest. The best way to get even is to forget! Let God give you the strength to rule over the wrongs in life, instead of vice versa. Don’t let injustice define your life. Thats why wrong passes on, because we refuse to let go. Joh 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. But remember, you can NOT forgive without God’s grace. And that comes through God’s Son - Whatever the Question, the Answer is Jesus! Blessings, Rev.Dennis Dafoe - Pastor, F.C. Pentecostal Assembly.
