A single tear runs down my cheek
as I fall to silent sleep.
The world is dark, wet, and cruel.
I wish I was not here at school.
The arain slowly comes down,
when it falls, it hits the ground
The clouds aboce cry and mourn,
as a baby died early this morn
I heard the whine, I heard the cry,
the momma didn't get to say goodbye.
The clouds bring the mournful rain,
to wash away all the apin
The pain stays, and the mornful rain
to wash away all the pain
The pain stays and the mornful rain
digs a deeper hole.
The baby must be cold
as it's lowered to the ground
there to stay forever bound
Spring turns to summer,
and from summer to fall
and the mother remembers
the baby's call
it's plea to say thank you,
it's tears of love
but now that baby is somewhere above
and when the baby mourns for his mom,
he makes the rain come,
and trys to wash away it all.
