Michael has been signed to two major record labels and started his own record label, Michael Angelo Creative Enterprise, or M.A.C.E. Music. He has produced over 20 albums and has over 60 available through his company.

From instructional videos to the band Nitro, Michael has worked his way around the music business for years. Michael started playing piano at five and picked up the guitar at the age of 10. He started to play Jazz Guitar at 14, and won an award for Oustanding Jazz Soloist at 16, before earning a B.A. in Music Theory and Composition from Northeastern Illinois University.

When he left University, he went to a studio a few blocks from his house and asked for a job as a session guitarist. The guy at the studio asked him if he could read music, and he said yes. The guy produced a chart and said "play this", so Michael played it, adding in his own fills and impro solos. Michael became the Studios number one call-out guitarist straight away.

Michaels first break came with the band Holland when they toured with Aerosmith. Later, Michael joined Nitro, with singer Jim Gillette whose album O.F.R earned the band hosting duties for a session of MTV's "Headbanger's Ball." Since then Michael has made his own solo albums and a series of best-selling instructional guitar videos, including Metal Methods 'Speed Kills' Lesson and the 'Jam With Angelo' video and accompanying CD, 'Tradition', as well as a video for Star Licks. His Star Licks video was the companies number one bestseller two years straight.. Last year, Michael released his own invention -- the double guitar. Connected in the middle, one guitar is played with the right hand, while the left hand simultaneously plays the other, making it possible to play lead and melody lines at the same time! Needless to say, this is extremley difficult. Michael also released the String Dampner, an invention he made to stop his double guitar from giving 'feedback'. They also help your playing to become cleaner.

Michael Angelo performed the National Anthem at The Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday March 11th, 2002. This was the 6 month anniversary of the 9-11 attack on the USA. Michael performed for a sold out crowd of over 18,000 people for the L.A. Kings vs. the Chicago Blackhawks NHL game. It was televised on the Fox network all over the US. Michael played a great original version of The Star Spangled Banner flawlessly and with heartfelt emotion. Even the announcers from Fox commented on how great his rendition was.

Michael won the "Artist of the Year" award in 1999 from the Musicians Friend music corporation after performing in every single "superstore" in the United States at their grand openings. Michael has always been a very busy touring artist - he has performed over 1000 shows in 30 different countries since 1994. The 30 countries he has toured in are:

U.S.A (43 states including Alaska), ENGLAND (28 times since '93), SCOTLAND, IRELAND, WALES, BELGIUM, HOLLAND, SPAIN, ITALY, PORTUGAL, GERMANY, AUSTRIA, FINLAND, DENMARK, SWITZERLAND, LITHUANIA, CANADA, MEXICO, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, RUSSIA, TURKEY, JAPAN, CHINA (2 times), (The) PHILIPPINES, MALAYSIA, EL SALVADOR, TAIWAN, HONG KONG and SINGAPORE. He toured with the legendary Noel Redding, of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, in 1999.

Michael also runs Guitar Clinics around the US. He says "I enjoy doing workshops. The main reason is that I get to travel to cities I might never get to on tour in addition to talking with people (with passion for guitar). Most tours only hit the "big cities" and forget about towns that aren't in a major metro area."
