Brian Gallagher, b. May, 1984 Brian was more or less MORGAN’s front man. Influences include Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Brian’s relaxed and free-flowing approach to songwriting did not stifle his ferocious riffs and driving guitar solos. Brian’s style is most distinct on Mirage and Feeling Low. Also, thanks to Brian’s w-appeal, MORGAN has had a larger female audience.
Cecil Starr, b. August, 1984 Cecil began playing guitar at age 12. Influences include metal and grunge bands like Rammstein, Metallica, Megadeth, Nirvana, etc.... but his more recent interests and biggest influences are Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Enya, and Agalloch. Cecil started out as the lead singer because he's got a great voice for metal, but Brian already knew the words to many of the more moderate-rock songs that MORGAN was covering. Cecil and Brian split up singing the lead parts on the songs they wrote, respectively. Cecil recently graduated from Bakersfield College with an A.A. in Math.
Marcus Hampton, b. September, 1984 Marcus was last to join MORGAN, but it was not until he came along that MORGAN was even able to perform. Several bass players auditioned, but Marcus was the only one who stood out. He impressed Brian, Cecil, and Skip with a consistent ability to jump in to any melody with a solid bass line. It can be said that Marcus’ talent was the glue that held MORGAN together, because after he departed from the band, everything else came crashing down behind him as well, and MORGAN is now just a memory.
Skip Starr, b. February, 1983 Skip's been playing the drums seriously since age 16... biggest influences are The Smashing Pumpkins, The Dave Matthews Band, and Metallica. While his talent for songwriting is severely lacking, he contributed quite a bit to the album in 2003. He recently graduated from Simpson University in Redding, Ca with a B.A. in History.
