Our meeting Schedule for 2009 will be:



February 26, Thursday


March 24th, Tuesday

April 27th, Monday

May 18th, Monday
Dues are to be paid to our treasurer by the end of this meeting.


May 23, Saturday Meet at 10 am.
Club members to decorate and ride on hay wagon in Utica Ice Cream Festival Parade - meet in front of UHS


June 23rd, Tuesday IMPORANT MEETING:
Fill out Hartford Fair Entry forms - Please bring, parent for signature & your S.S.#,
Demonstration meeting - dress to participate. Bring your Project books. 7pm at the Rutherfords/Bells


July 28nd, Tuesday -
Bring your Fair Entry verification forms & project books.

All meetings will take place at the Rocky Fork Church of Christ - 12969 Techniglas Rd., unless otherwise noted.


Hartford fair week (entries due July 10, 2009) Hartford Fair August 9-15th 2009




September 19th 2009(TENATIVE)- Turn in your completed project books at tonight's Party - Party location with be at the Orr's home.


> You must attend one Quality Assurance Program in order to take your animal to the fair:

May 12th - Tues 6:30pm LVHS
May 23rd - Sat.-10:00am C-TEC Newark

OHIO 4-H MEMBERSHIP AGE REQUIREMENTS NEW GUIDELINES FOR 2007 As recommended by the Ohio 4-H Program, the Ohio State University Extension Administrative Cabinet approved a change in the age requirements for 4-H Youth Development membership. The new guidelines are: Eligibility for 4-H membership begins when a child has reached age 5 and is enrolled in Kindergarten as of January 1 of the current year (Cloverbuds); membership to the 4-H club program begins when a child is at least age 8 and enrolled in 3rd grade as of January 1 of the current year. Ohio 4-H membership ends December 31 of the year in which an individual attains the age of 19. If you need further clarification of the new guidelines in order to enroll a member, please call the Extension office.



Just a reminder....our 4-H club has scales to weigh your market projects - contact and advisor to borrow them - and take some of the guessing work out of trying to get your animal to make weight!!!!!!

SATURDAY, MAY 2 Market Lamb Tagging: 9 am to 1 pm (Beef Barn) Layers/Fancy Poultry/Turkey Banding & Senior Breeding Rabbit Tattooing:10 am to 2 pm (Rabbit & Poultry Barn) SATURDAY, MAY 16 Market Goat Tagging: 10 am - 12 pm (Goat Barn) SATURDAY, JULY 11 Market Poultry Banding (not turkey) & Meat & Junior Breeding Rabbit Tattooing: 10 am - 2 pm (Rabbit & Poultry Barn)
