A little simple art gallery
Various works be S. Donohue. New visitor? Please note that many of the pieces you'll see here are older works. The further you explore, the more recent they become.

This is a collection of many of my 3-D pieces. (IT was, of course, outdated almost immediately, but...) Anyhow, you'll notice that it's filled mostly with dragons. The little fellow on the mirror (He gets a cameo closeup a little farther on in the gallery) Was the newest addition to the collection.

This picture, taken a few moments after the one above, was specifically taken of my cute non-dragon critters. I personally cannot help but think of them as "Cousins" This is a "Care Bears" reference, for anyone who wonders. The Care Bear Cousins were the adorable little fuzzy critters who were NOT bears. Now, most of these ARE bears, but since dragons are my dominant species choice for subject, these became the cousins. I will post a picture soon of the pale bunny with the castle. That's "Ping the Snowbunny." Ping was a piece commissioned by a friend's beau as a gift. (During a recent snowstorm, when she was out reveling in the snow, she had declared herself to be "The Snowbunny, Ping." Hence the creation. A small note, Ping's castle was built one tiny polymer-clay brick at a time, and the little stick in her mittened paw is meant to be part of a flag (I glued a paper flag on later.)

Well, I did promise a closer image. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's Ping! This image allows you to clearly see the copious glitter, and the individual blocks of her ice castle.
Charles George Dulcheo Laconia III

A first here: a soft-sculpture puppet. I worked with a friend on this one, changing a design for a hobby horse until it was unrecognizable and then moving on from there. Charles is a multi- media puppet, mostly fabric, stuffed with upholstery foam. His eyes are real spectacles. (Actually, we had to return them at the end of his first show. They were needed by their real owner!)

Any Lord of the Rings fan is familiar with Treebeard the Ent. This is another ent, or tree-herder. He was inspired both by Tolkien directrly, and also by my summer job. (I worked for Middle Earth Studios, and actually spent two whole days in an Ent costume. The actual piece title is "And what sort of flower are you?" I think the interchange between bird and ent is charming, even if I do say so myself.

This is a slightly manipulated image, obviously. This is the first of my "cousins" he's only about 2 or 3 inches tall. His basket is actual wicker, and is filled with tiny polymer clay flowers. Theis particular piece has since vanished, but remains one of my favorite simple works
