Greenrider Tarrah and Green Karienath

Five turns had gone by since a little girl of only fifteen turns had gone to Talor Cliff Weyr away from Icani Hold which had been her home all her life. Tarrah had been glad to leave behind her stepmother and stepsisters, who just didn't seem to understand that not all girls were the same as they were. She had missed her father, Lord Aransi, and her brother Temenan, though; but things had been much better lately, Temenan--or T'eman--had Impressed a multi-shaded blue and would be coming to Cincanta Weyr soon.

____________________ Tarrah had finally filled out from being skinny as a withy to a rather nicely formed, yet slender, young woman of twenty turns. Her gentle eyes were as green as her beautiful little leaf-green lifemate's hide. Her jet black hair was now full and curly, falling to her thin waist and she no longer ran around in shifts but rather in her flying clothes, as though always ready to take off to someplace for some reason or other. ____________________ Tarrah lay stretched out on a ledge in the bright afternoon sun wearing significantly less clothing than usual revealing her yellow-gold Asian-decent skin, rather like her presently glowing emerald-bright green Karienath who was positioned similarly next to her rider. It was a beautiful day at Cincanta Weyr--not a cloud--nor the Red Star--in the sky. An excellent day for the dragonriders to relax. ____________________ Rider'mine, do you have a preference on who catches us?No one particularly, dragonriders all seem like fine men to me. And of course, the best will win us--won't they, Kari? Karienath smirked draconically. They'll have to be to catch me. Tarrah laughed mentally, And I'm sure your babies will be fine little dragons as well. After all, they'll be your babies. ____________________ Karienath puffed out her emerald green chest with pride...or the best she could do to the extent while lying on her back. She was one of the best greens in the Weyr!
