A
message found in a bottle
My name is Thia, if you've found this bottle I wish you good
health and happiness.
I don't have any more family and my one true friend has gone back to
his monastery so I really have no one to write to.
I've started to feel lonely even amongst my travelling companions.
They all seem to have something to care for, except Lanaya she has her
faith to keep her company.
Roderick has his cat, Lilly has a goat named Francine and the newest
member of our ill fated group, Dar, has a dog.
Maybe I need a companion. But enough of me, allow me to tell you of our
most recent adventure.
Who would have thought it'd be so hard to row a boat in the ocean?
Well, you live, you learn. We spent way to long on a little tiny row
boat, which I swear got smaller each and every day.
But be careful what you wish for..... we were violently tossed from our
woody refuge during a storm.
I awoke on a sandy shore to Francine's bleating and Lilly's screaming.
There was a small man trying to eat our goat.
Before we could dismember the half sized man we were come upon by
Lizardmen. I hate them.
Turning to our common enemy, myself, my companions and the would be
goat murderer killed all but one of the Lizardmen.
Being a little worn out from our frigid swim and early morning skirmish
we decided to talk to the little fellow rather than kill him.
His name is Dar, he was apparently debris washed ashore like the rest
of us. From what we can tell a Goblin Shaman had found and trained him.
I find this odd as the only experience I've had with the evil beasts
has been unpleasant to say the least.
Dar has been our guide on the small island we washed up on. He has
never left due to a monster guarding the only path leading to the
mainland.
We found out the hard way, the monster was a hydra. Guess it was lucky
for us it was a baby one, only twenty feet tall.
That was when I decided to write this, lounging in the hydra's lair.
So with the hydra dead we've decided to head off to the mainland and
hopefully back to civilization.
I need a real bath, with lots of hot stones.
