Houserules - Modified Feats - Deflect Arrows

You can deflect incoming arrows, as well as crossbow bolts, spears, and other shot or thrown weapons.

Prerequisites: Dex 13+, Improved Unarmed Strike
Benefit: You must have at least one hand free (holding nothing) to use this feat.  Once per round when you would normally be hit with a ranged weapon, you may make a Reflex saving throw against DC 15 (if the ranged weapon has a magical bonus to attack, the DC increases by that amount).  If you succeed, you deflect the weapon.  You must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed.  Attempting to deflect a ranged weapon doesn't count as an action.  Exceptional ranged weeapons, such as boulders hurled by giants or Melf's acid arrows, can't be deflected.

A character possessing this feat who takes the full-defense option may attempt to deflect more than one ranged weapon per round.  For each consecutive attempt, the DC increases by 2.

As a full-round action, a character possessing this feat may attempt to deflect ranged weapon attacks against a target for which he provides cover.  Such attempts must be made before the success of the attack is determined.  Doing so provokes attacks of opportunity from foes threatening the character's space.  The base DC to deflect such attacks is 20, and increases by 2 for each subsequent deflection attempted.

Special:
A monk may select Deflect Arrows as a bonus feat at 2nd level, even if she does not meet the prerequisites.
