This is my first turkey. I was hunting with one of my dad's friends, and we had circled around a flock, trying to get ahead of them. No luck. We had just when up to try another spot when we jumped this guy out of a small wooden point. I took him in the head on a 35 yard running shot. We were all hunting on a farm we had just bought recently, and the day before we almost called a huge tom into range. It's beard was only a few inches off the ground! This guy had a beard measuring 9 1/2 inches and 3/4 inch spurs.
