Rope

Rope is an all around useful tool. It can be used to climb stuff, tie stuff up, or strangle stuff. Enough said.

Small Blade

No matter what you decide on, a sharp blade is also a must. It cuts stuff. Enough said about that as well.

Useful Trinkets

Mask

This refers to any sort of mask, cowl, or hood. Sometimes shen survive and it is best that they don't know who to track down and take revenge from.

Rice

Sometimes the old trick works, sometimes it doesn't. As a last resort only.

Weapons

Katana

A katana is a bladed sword with a blade about four feet and a handle about a foot to a foot and a half. The blade is slightly curved. These are expensive and you most likely won't be able to get your hands on one.

Wakizashi

A shorter katana originally worn with the katana to signify a person was a samuraii. It was treasonous for anyone other then a samuraii to wear the wakizashi and katana at the same time. Wakizashi tend to be as expensive as katanas so you probably won't have much experience with these.

Ninja-To (also known as a Shinobi Katana, they mean the same thing)

The ninja-to utilizes the ninja philosophy of "If life gives you a lemon, find someway to kill as many people as possible with this lemon." Ninja-to are made out of broken katana. As such, they are usually easier to get your hands on. Simply break your enemies katana and retrieve after battle. Ninja-to tend to be weighted like a wakizashi.

Naginata

A naginata is a mix between a spear and a halberd, looking like more of a glave. Traditionally a woman's weapon, the naginata is generally inexpensive to make.

Garrote

Never know when a good strangle cord will come in handy. It can be carried easily and disguised as jewelry.

Whip

A multi purpose weapon, a whip can strike at a distance and disarm. Unfortunately, that is about it.

Sash

A weighted sash is ranked up there with the garrote. Easy to carry and hard to detect.

Three Piece Staff

If one is well trained, this weapon can perform miracles. Otherwise, one ends up knocking oneself out with this hard to use weapon.

Sai

Contrary to popular belief, a sai is not a sharp weapon. It is more of an iron baton with a 'u' shaped crossguard. It is good for disarming and sapping.

Jitte

A jitte is simular to the sai. It is an iron baton with one side of the 'u' shaped crossguard. It is also good for disarming and somewhat lighter.

No-Dachi

A no-dachi is a six to seven foot long curved single edged sword. It can easily cleave most things in two and is deadly in the hands of a master.

Bo Stick

A bo stick is one of the easier weapons to fight with. It can keep an enemy at a distance and is deceptively quick.

Jo Sticks

Usually used in pairs, a jo stick is a wooden baton. They are extremely deadly in the hands of someone who knows how to use them.

Shurikens

There are different types of shurikens. The first type are the star-shaped blades everyone's seen. These tend to be the easiest to throw. The second type are larger variations of this. Contrary to popular movies showing otherwise, it is impossible to throw a large shuriken like a boomerang. The final type of shuriken is perhaps the most deadly. These shuriken look like tiny spikes. They can be worn in the hair and thought to be simply hair ornaments.

Caltrops

Sure, these were made to stop horses. Good thing they are effective against cars as well.
