Nverath crouches low, readying himself, no doubt, for a mighty leap. And, as promised, the bronze launches himself into the air, not worrying too much about getting altitude, but more of getting over the water so that he might dive in, as streamlined as possible, so as to create the smallest of splashes. D'baji offers a roll of his eyes for the playfulness, tugging off a boot and tossing it into a pile with the first one, and the already discarded shirt lying on the sand. "You're gonna break your neck one day, y'know. Dive headfirst into a sunken dune," is commented as the dragon resurfaces with a very pleased trill. "Haven't you listened at all to the lectures about how very delicate you are, and how careful we have to be in everything?"

Riyth glides in from the direction of the Hillslide. The blue whuffles a greeting to the bronze as he doesn't wait for his rider to dismount as he takes a plunge into the ocean. From a distance there is a call from the rider upon the blue's neck ridges, "Nooooo Riyth!" Finally the dragon bobs up to the surface with his rider still attached. Jozzie grunts as she unfastens herself and leaps into the water, doing the crawl back to the shore. As she nears the shore she notices D'baji. "Hey-lo," she says with a slight blush of her cheeks. She strips off her jacket, lying it flat against the sands to dry.

D'baji can't help but burst into something of a grin as the blue and rider... dive. Nverath, blinking once to clear water away from those jewelly eyes of his, offers a happy little return warble to Riyth, adding a swish of his tail to send a spray of water in salute. Rolling pantlegs as Jozzie comes towards the shore, he pauses only in his very important clothing shortening to send a quick little salute her way. "'Morning," is replied vocally, the last pantleg joining the first in approximate length, and he stands, hand on his hips, waiting for his bronze to soak himself properly. "Come for a bath?" is asked with a quirk of a grin towards the jacket.

From Riyth's neck, Jozzie chuckles softly. "I think I already had one," she says. "I will swim now that I have been soaked in the water now though. Riyth needs a washing anyway." Riyth, meanwhile, flickers his facet eyelids as Nverath, then the blue whips his own tail at the water to spay back at the bronze playfully. Jozzie shakes her head as she watches before returning her eyes to D'baji. "What are you up to?" she asks him in curiousity.

D'baji snorts, in more a laughing way than a condescending, or other derogatory, one. "As I can see, and I suppose should have assumed..." Nverath stops at being splashed back, and after a moment or two decides that indeed this seems an interesting idea. And, with a flip of a wingtip, sends a bit more water the blue's way, as well as putting himself into something of a spin. "We're bathing, supposedly. He didn't want to do it at the crowded basin- He wanted a quiet bath. Hypocritical as that may seem now," is added with a headbob towards the still rotating bronze one. "And we'll probably have to go for a second rinse in the fresher water there anyway, but here seems good enough for now..."

Riyth watches the bronze with amazement. He turns around in the water, drifting on his backside for a few seconds before tumbling over again. "At least they can have some fun out here without disturbing the peace too much." Jozzie tells D'baji as she watches the two dragons. She combs her fingers through her damp tresses as she looks to D'baji. "So, how is the lessons going? Not having any problems or anything? It seems that N'ano is doing a great job with all of you weyrlings."

"Peace? Seems an interesting word to use," D'baji comments dryly. "You should've seen the basin, y'know, at the waterfall... Loaded with all these other Weyrlings... It was insanity." For the question, he shrugs, hand quivering back and forth in the air in sign of 'so-so.' "I'd say they're going well. I mean, we've not seemed to miss anything we've needed to know yet. But I've got nothing to compare it to, as I'm sure you can imagine, so... But I'd think he's doing well. Everyone is, really, I'd say." A thoughtful hum as Nverath gives a little warble of some sort to his blue friend before submerging completely. "So I should get a scrubbing," D'baji nods with a step towards the water. "If you aren't feeling like swimming after a bit, maybe you could give me and 'Ver a hand? Please, of course."

From Riyth's neck, "I bet it was busy, when I was a weyrling a few of us would come this way for a few hours. It's nice to get somewhere that is a little larger. Only so many dragons can fit in that lake." Jozzie remarks. "I'd love to help, as long as Nve is okay with it? Some dragon's can be touchy. Riyth doesn't like his flanks being touched by anyone but myself, actually." The bluerider as to chuckle a little at that. The blue looks around him, finding the bronze had submerged under the water. Where'd he go? All he finds is bubbles rising the the surface. Cranning his neck towards the water, he tries to determine where the bronze with poke his head up at.

D'baji nods with a shudder for her sympathy. "And I tell you, that Boyth... Troublemaker. Starts these splashing wars, and, well, with dragons that can be rather... Wet..." Tsunami-esque, actually. An amicable shrug is given as he starts his wading into the water. "Nverath adores other people. Too much at times, it'd seem. And he likes to measure the differences in peoples' touches too, so if anything, you'll be something of an experiment to him." With a quick shiver, he gets where it's deep enough that he can fully dunk himself (must get that chest hair down somehow) and resurfaces simultaneously with his dragon. Although his dragon is much nearer Riyth than D'baji is, and his dragon's head is much more effective for creating a rather big splash upon resurfacing. As Nverath does, with a joyful, and /nearly/ cocky, warble to the blue.

Riyth whuffles loudly as Nverath resurfaces, splashing water all over the place. He makes a dragonic sound of laughter as he looks to the bronze. He flickers his forearm to splash at the bronze dragon before he begins to paddle away from the weyrling. Jozzie slowly enters the water, a light shiver running up her spine as he puts up her arms until she is chest lengh into the water. "Always takes getting used to," she mutters with a managed smile.

D'baji nods with a grin, ducking back to bounce at chin-level. "Even on the warmest days... I prefer the dunking method, personally. It works rather effeciently, as a friend of mine would say. So, supposedly, first on the menu for dragon scrubbing today would be the left shoulder, under the jaw, the right forearm, the tail, but that's probably a lie, he just likes it rubbed, and the area of his neck where the straps go." D'baji turns, and gives an eep to find Nverath is, in fact, going /away/ in pursuit of Riyth, the almost small bronze having ducked under the water and doing roughly what would be involved in flying, hoping it'll work better than the paddling idea. "As soon as he comes back," D'baji adds to Jozzie with a powerless slump of his shoulders.

Jozzie nods her head, the ends of her tresses bobing in the water. "Hey, Riy!" she calls out, cupping her hands over her mouth for more tunneled call to the blue. The blue turns his head, with a look that merely says 'Ey?'. "Get over here so we can get Nve a scrubbing." The blue rubbles as he dives underneath the waves, heading in the direction of his lifemate. Jozzie smiles as she dunks her head under the water, then coming back up again.

Under the water, Nverath finds himself desperately turning, to avoid any retreating Riyths. A quick surfacing, and he's chasing on after the blue again. D'baji gives a look of genuine respect for the bluerider (quite a rare thing from Baji, hang on to it), a bit of a grin for this excellent trick of hers. "One would almost think you knew a thing or two about dragons," he comments, doing his best to see the submarine of Nverath as he approaches in the blue's wake.

Wait, if you are thinking that this drgaon is bbedient- think again. Riyth resurfaces close to Jozzie and D'baji, his large forearm coming down over the water to create a giant splash. Look, we can get our riders wet! He whuffles to the bronze in amazement at his creativity. "No Riyth," Jozzie says as the blue fills up his muzzle with water. His cheeks look like a chipmunk as he almost smiles at his rider. What?

D'baji ducks from the splash, not to much good, as when he ducks he ends up more in the water anyway. Nverath's come up for air and a look at his rider, as well as Riyth's, tail twitching with the obvious moral battle of To Splash, or Not To Splash. A wary eye kept on the blue, D'baji motions Nverath closer, if the young dragon can manage such a feat. "You're rinsed. Jozzie, he'd like you to work on his shoulder first, if you wouldn't mind?" And maybe Riyth could rinse.

Riyth spits out his muzzle at the bronze as he goes paddling off a little. Jozzie smiles, "Sure." she says to D'baji as she begins to approach Nverath. "Which shoulder?" she asks as she looks to D'baji, "Right or left." Riyth watches from a few yards away has he flickers his tail idlishly under the water.

"Left," D'baji notes, gesturing with a chin towards the itching wispy shoulder that finds it's place on his lifemate, who is currently snorting and shaking his head from Riyth's spraying. "And he says to feel free and scrub really hard, as that's a particularly rough spot recently." In the meantime, he stoops to scoop some sand, aiming for the right forearm with a nearly maniacal look in his eyes.

Jozzie swims to Nverath's left side, gathering up sand as she leans across to place the sands on the bronze's shoulder. She eases in the sand gently for a moment, working in circular motions as she begins to slowly work at the rougher parts of the dragon's hide. "Is that working for you Nve?" she asks the bronze. "I get used to this with Riyth, he's touchy sometimes." she smiles.

D'baji peeks around from his hovering spot by a foreleg to nod. "So you've said," is acknowledged, while Nverath swivels his head to turn an eye on Jozzie, and give a very grateful, and rather approving rumble. "He says you feel as though you've done this before," D'baji translates with a grin. "Cause some of the people who've scrubbed him haven't. He can tell an experienced touch, it'd seem. Oh, do stop swooning and hold still." That last, of course, directed towards the bronze, who is still eyeing the bluerider somewhat fondly.

Jozzie smiles, "I've been at it for awhile. Before I impressed, I swear I scrubbed Char's blue a number of times." She continues to work at the dragon's hide as she looks across to D'baji occasionally. "As there been any talk in the barracks about what wings you weyrlings want to join after your weyrlinghood?" she inquires, "Of course that is a long ways off yet. You all are still working on the basic flying and riding now, right?"

D'baji nods with a bit of a sniff. "I'd helped with Elbareth once or twice during candidacy, but no one else... Didn't get much dragon scrubbing done, I'm afraid. So Nverath may as well be the first dragon I've ever cleaned properly..." A few more moments of scrubbing, and a shrug for her question as he goes to splash up some rinsing water on the leg. "There's been some here and there, not too much. Yeah, we've barely flown on our dragons yet, it seems. I mean, I don't think anyone's /completely/ accustomed to riding a winged beast in the air, not quite yet, though some are getting closer, I gather." A brief frown as he ducks under the water, the question of "Why?" being asked upon his resurfacing as he moves towards the lightly bronzed neck.

Jozzie shrugs her shoulders weakly, "Just questioning, I guess." The bluerider smiles broadly as she rinses down the bronze's shoulder. "You are going a goof job of keeping Nverath's hide clean, I've seen worse." she cringes slightly. "Not around here though, Ista seems to take good care of their dragons. We have the right climate, afterall." she replies. She stretches her arm out above her head for a moment before she continues to scrub the bronze's hide. "I haven't scrubbed any other dragon but Riyth for the longest time. I am glad Nverath is enjoying it."

D'baji slathers the handful of sand over the bronze's neck, right where those straps go, of course. The itchier of neck spots. "Alright. Well, I know some people are starting to give it some thought. Myself included, really. But there's so little you know about the wings at this time... It's hard to make the right decision, y'know?" And if the bronze could melt, well... That's two seriously itching places taken care of simultaneously. Nverath settles for a half-lidded eye, and faint bend in his knees. "He is one of the most content creatures I've ever known," D'baji muses. "Enjoys everything he does for one reason or another. Never seriously unhappy. A bit brooding at times, or very calm, but never really unhappy, as of yet..."

Jozzie looks to Nverath admiringly, "Aww." She finishes scrubbing the dragon's shoulder, looking to D'baji. "Which other place did he say he was itching?" she asks with a smile. "That is good that he is happy," she remarks, "Riyth is most of the time, but he has his moments." Probably no one will be seeing that in public. Riyth watches, splashing at the water as he dives underneath the waves like a dolphin.

D'baji pauses for more send, blinking at Nverath for an answer to Jozzie's question. "He says under his jaw could use with a light scrubbing. Not so hard here, he doesn't want. It's a gentler area." And now Baji's back to his dragon's neck, rubbing with just a hint of a grunt. "Nearly everyone does, don't they? Have moments, I mean? Maybe 'Ver will when he's older, I don't know. I sort of hope not. It's amazing, you always have this pleased little strength to lean on when need be." And now to rinse as best he can at the neck without getting Nverath to submerge himself totally before going about to the rear end of the bronze.

Jozzie moves to the front of Nverath, "Okay boy." she says. There is a light smile as she looks up at the bronze, "That is extremly sweet." she says to D'baji. She glances to Riyth, who coons and nods his head as the blue closes in to begin to watch what his lifemate is up to. Jozzie gives Riyth's forearm an affectionate pat as she turns to Nverath. "I'll make sure I am very gentle," she tells to both, the rider and the dragon.

D'baji raises an eyebrow towards the bluerider, at least, as best he can from around a dragonbum. "Boy?" Doesn't matter who she's addressing, he's curious as to where that came from. Nverath offers a bit of comment to Riyth, most likely a sort of praise for his rider's scrubbing, while D'baji busies himself with the tail. Nverath's favourite spot to be rubbed. "So d'you have any idea how much longer this whole Weyrling business'll take?" is asked somewhat out of the blue towards Jozzie. "I mean, the dragons are growing rather quickly..."

Jozzie doesn't seem to hear the question as she gathers up sands for Nverath's itchy chin. "Um," she says as she ponders the time inside of her head. "I would say somewhere around a month or two," is her reply. Carefully she rubs under the bronzes chin. Rith coons back to the bronze with an answered thank you as he leans his head gently against his rider's shoulder.

D'baji nods, not that it can be seen with a gargantuan dragon butt in the line of sight, but he does indeed nod. "A month or two... Long time. Sorta. Now, will we be allowed to go places before we graduate, or does that have to wait until after?" Despite some popular beliefs, D'baji rarely heads anywhere with his questions. This would be almost an exception. "Right, rinse yer tail," is instructed to the bronze, who obediently wiggles his behind.

Jozzie finishes off with Nverath's chin after she finishes with the bronze's scrubbings. "You will be able to towards the end. First you have to go with one of us, weyrlingmasters though. Then with a buddy or something on that account." she remarks. Riyth snorts with laughter as he watches the other dragon, his eyes whirling with amusement. "It's your turn next Riyth." Jozzie says, which recieves a look by the blue.

Valanth ambles along after Kia, keeping more to the sand than the water, warbling just as suddenly to the other dragons, sidling over towards Kia, nudging her; actually more of a shove towards the water, but of course that wasn't intentionally such a hard shove. He doesn't know his own strength?

Nverath gives a rather polite rumble of thanks to Jozzie, crouching and craning his neck to fully rinse anything that may have been sanded, and, after a pause, sending a hopeful warble Bajiwards. "Right. Well, he says thanks for your help, Jozzie, and that maybe if he's lucky you'll help scrub him again. But he's hungry. Shards, he's always hungry... So we'd best go." Nverath, annoyed with the whole eating idea at a time like this, is already anxious to make his way to the shore and get it over and done with. "So I'll be off. Oh, 'Ver, you're gettin' your feet all sandy now..." Roll of his eyes as he follows the bronze, who fans his wings to cool off. Clothing is grabbed, stuffed on, Kia and Valanth get a quick wave, and finally, after all such things, the bronze pair head for the food.
