Weapons, Armor and Accessories. Read the rules carefully, then figure out what it is you want for your character.

:Weapons:

Weapons can be a vast variety of melee blades, long-range guns, to even quirky items never thought to be lethal in anyway. Whatever is used to defend oneself is up to the player, but they must be different from what is already in use in the game. If there is a character in this story who has a particular weapon, you may not use that, either. All people must have separate weapons. Weapons taken so far are:
Natural Defenses/Boots
Poi
Wrist/Elbow Blades

Upgrading weapons happens only when the Game Masters approve it. What advancements, special effects or abilities they equip and how many materia slots they come with will all be decided by the Game Masters as well. Suggestions are welcome, but will not always be accepted.

Only one weapon per character. You may not have a sword in one hand, a gun in the other, and a long staff hiding up your butt crack somewhere. Pick one of them, and that's all you have.

:Armor:

Just as materia, there are different types of armor. As the story goes along, you may purchase, find, steal, or obtain new armor by other means, but you must begin with one of the pieces under Starter Armor. All other armor is at a higher level, and you must check with the game masters before you come about anything new.

:Accessories:

The rules of armor apply to the accessories as well. Pick one of the starter items for your character, and you may better your equipment later in the game.

:Starter Accessories:
Power Wrist: Increases strength slightly.
Choco Feather: Increases dexterity slightly.
Protect Vest: Increases vitality slightly.
Earring: Increases magic slightly.
Talisman: Increases spirit slightly.
Amulet: Increases luck slightly.
Headband: Impervious to sleep.
Silver Glasses: Impervious to darkness.
