Blink of an Eye

I had you for a minute, actually more than that.

I took you for granted, I couldn't adapt.

I was your princess, you were so sweet.

But I didn't care, I had cold feet.

In a blink of an eye you were gone.

Nothing to do or say, it was all said and done.

How could I not see it, how could I be so blind?

There was someone else in my life, someone else in mind.

It's time to curtail, it's time to part.

Let it be known ... with you, you take my heart!

It was all my fault, I take all the blame.

Now there's nothing I can do but take the pain.
