PREDATORS FEAST ON VICK AND FALCONS
PREDATORS FEAST ON VICK AND FALCONS
For those of the so-called "experts" out there thinking that the newest team in the Madden Football League (MFL) thought that the newest franchise to enter the league was nothing but a mere joke or a publicity stunt has gotten a real hard-look glimpse of what could become the biggest and baddest football team ever assembled. The Myrtle Beach Predators are made up of professional wrestlers who were in the New Millennium Collabration over the past three years when Founding Owner A.J. Casino convinced his fellow owners that this could be a reality and has taken his franchise and created a coaching staff turning them into a surprise power in the MFL. The Myrtle Beach Predators opened up their inaugural-season at their luxurious new home when you figure that The Brass of the Myrtle Beach Predators have more money then George Steinbrenner could dream of having in putting together a massive team. Predators Stadium also known as "The Shark Tank" sits a capacity of 82,145 people and is the biggest state of the art facility in the football league. In this first-ever football game in Predators Stadium the visiting Atlanta Falcons featuring their big three weapons "Mr. Excitement" Michael Vick at Quarterback, Warrick Dunn at Runningback, and the big threat Wide-Receiver Peerless Price. The Falcons look to be a good test on paper for the Predators new defense considering the double-threat of passing and running by the elusive Michael Vick, but once the action began The Predators showed the entire MFL what they are made of by feasting on Atlanta by the score of 188-3! Yes you read the score correctly and it is not a newspaper typo, that was the correct score. The only bright spot for Michael Vick was he passed for 248 yards and ran 14 times for 48 yards with a fumble other then that Atlanta had no offense. Vick had been pounded on all day even though he completed 22 of 41 passes he was intercepted 10 times and sacked 15 times. Runningback Warrick Dunn managed only 17 yards on 36 carries with a fumble. The game was finally underway as Erik Turbo began with the kick-off but disaster quickly struck when their Kick-returner, Cornerback Allan Rossum what later revealed to be a strained back was injured and will be out of action for nine weeks. The Predators immediately smelled blood and like the "shark attack" defense they had been known for in Myrtle Beach they went for the kill as A.J. Styles began the scoring frenzy picking off Vick returning it back 41 yards for the first touchdown of the game giving the Predators the 7-0 lead. Next series for The Predators was an offensive touchdown by Mark Thompson punching it in from 2 yards out giving the home team a 14-0 lead. Vick led his Falcons downfield to a drive that stalled at the Predators 32 yard-line so Atlanta settled for a Jay Feely 49-yard field goal cutting the score to 14-3.
Then the nightmare began as the saying goes "all good things must come to an end" as The Falcons were helpless when a swarm of Predators points began piling up on the scoreboard as 20 straight points were tacked on by two Erik Turbo field goals and two touchdown passes from Artman Donovan extending the Myrtle Beach by the end of the first quarter 34-3. Atlanta coach Dan Reeves tried to pep-talk his team telling them that the first quarter was just a mental letdown but they still had a shot to win this game if they play the way he knows his team is capable of, easier said then done Coach. The 2nd squarter opened up and before The Falcons could do anything there was another nail in their coffin courtesy of "The Ultra-Backs" Mark Thompson ran in two touchdowns while his counter-part Artman Donovan tossed another three touchdown passes for a quick 35 point spurt as the streak reached 55 straight points without giving up a single point holding a devastating 69-3 lead at half-time.
