the word 'Adonis' is defined here as an immaculate specimen of a male. the collection is an account of my experiences with a person who is both real and imagined. however, the subject could never be regarded as 'perfect', because he is a human being. adonis has numerous flaws; some are tragic, unexpected, perhaps even self-destructive, yet these make him more beautiful and increase this attraction.
