“Miss Sullivan, it’s nice to see you again,” Lex said, standing up to shake the young woman’s hand.

“It’s Chloe, and it always will be, Mr. Luthor… I mean, Lex. Can I call you Lex?” she asked, not waiting to be asked to sit down.

“Of course. Glad to know you’re still a truth seeker for this world. You’re the only reason I agreed to this interview.” Lex subtly took in her fully developed body.

“Yes, I’m a sexy momma, yadda, yadda. I’m just in raptures I might finally get a front page byline at the Post.” She grinned. “The one thing I miss about working at the Torch. In those days, what I said was law.”

“If you’re anything like you used to be, you’ll have your front page scoop in no time,” Lex smirked.

“I haven’t changed, don’t worry. Your infamous smirk. I remember it well.” Chloe produced a tape recorder from her purse and angled it so it could catch both of their voices. “I guess some things never change. Now, let’s get down to business.”

Lex reached and covered her hand as she tried to press the ‘record’ button. “I want to take you out to dinner. Will you be in town long?”

“I want an interview. I’ll stay in town longer if I get this interview, and I’ll go to dinner with you.”

“I’m glad. I think we have a lot to talk about. Especially a brown haired boy we both know…” Lex trailed off, looking at Chloe.

“You know just what to say, don’t you?” She said, her voice slightly challenging. Lex just shrugged in response. “Some things really never, ever change.”
