Serve this all purpose sauce with fried wontons or chicken, turkey or fish.
4 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
4 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon catsup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
half Cup Chicken Broth
1. tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 3 tablespoons water
2. Combine all the ingredients except the cornstarch mixture in a small saucepan. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat to low.
3. Stir the cornstarch mixture and slowly pour it into the simmering liquid while stirring constantly for about 2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and becomes clear. Serve as a dip for fried foods.
