The Chosen are those who have completed all seven years of Goddess Training. They all are capable of using every element of magic, but each one is called to one particular element. Most all Chosen are women, but a few men have completed training as well. Training is strenuous, and the magic itself takes a toll on the user. The Chosen teach in the Odilyce, and are sent as ambassadors out among the kingdoms. They settle minor disputes, and are allowed entrance to any kingdom. To deny entrance to a CHosen is an admission of worshiping the Dark, Below are listed the different elenmtal Chosen. The Lornyn and the Athenate are Chosen of The Goddess, and they embrace all elements. Also are the Chosen themselves. At some point in their lives, all Chosen gravitate toward a specific calling. It usually depends on their element.
Callings may include but are not exclusive to: Healer, Warrior, Builder, Advisor, Mediator, Teacher, Scholar of Magic Artifacts, Missionary. (Want one not listed, just ask Beth...Sendria@juno.com) All Chosen wear a Goddess Pin to symbolize their office. Two interlocking crescent moons with a gem of their element.
Fire-Ruby, Water-Saphire, Earth-Emerald, Air-Topaz, Spirit-Opal, Light-Diamond Spirit and Light are the most rare in regards to strength. If someone is exceptionally strong in one element, they are generally barely able to use the opposite. There is always balance. A Chosen of Fire, although able to use water, will not be very adept at it. The use of Dark is strictly prohibited, with severe repurcussions.
