PILOT --
In the series premiere we are introduced to five main characters: Girl next door, Liz Parker and her witty sidekick, Maria DeLuca. Tortured loner/alien, Max Evans, his sister, fellow alien, Isabel Evans and their best friend, Michael Guerin, who yes, is also not of this world! The three of them have to live with secret identities that are almost blown when Max risks everything to heal Liz who is shot at the local hangout, The Crashdown. Now it's up to the five of them to make sure the watchful eyes of Sheriff Valenti never learn the truth!

THE MORNING AFTER --
A geometry substitute with a secret agenda, Kathleen Toplolsky comes to town and is suspicious of Michael. Meanwhile the FBI shows up and confiscates everything alien related from Sheriff Valenti, everything except a mysterious key that the sheriff hides...only to be stolen by Michael who breaks into his office.

MONSTERS --
Sheriff Valenti considers Maria the weak link and he wants to use her to get to the bottom of whatever Max Evans is hiding! Isabel, afraid she will break, goes into her dreams and witnesses among other things, Michael in a tux! In the end it turns out they can trust Maria, she hides what she knows to protect the aliens!BR>

MISSING --
Liz's journal is stolen, where she writes EVERYTHING, including the truth about Max, Michael and Isabel. Afraid it will land in the wrong hands, she looks everywhere untill it shows up in the most unlikely place. . .Michael! He took her journal to make sure she could be trusted and from it he saw how lucky Max Evans really was.

285 SOUTH --
A key and a vision of a strange dome leads Michael to extreme measure to find a link to his past. He 'abducts' Maria and her car to get to Marathon Texas, where the dome is located. On the way she tips of Liz and the gang about what's going on before he throws her cell phone out the window. But when it comes down to it Maria didn't turn him into the police when they were stopped for speeding. Things went from bad to worse when the car broke down infront of a 'nookie' motel, according to Maria, the porno version of Aladdin! Forced to spend the night they found common ground and bonded only to be surprised by an unexpected visit from Max, Liz and Isabel. Forced into submission they all agreed that Maria and Liz were accomplices now and it was too late to turn back. The next day they head to the dome, where with the help of Maria, Michael has another vision that leads to a hidden room, but there they are caught when Sheriff Valenti and Miss Topolsky show up.

RIVER DOG --
In the conclusuion to 285 South we find the gang trapped in the hidden room of the mysterious dome, untill Maria and Liz find a secret exit. Forced to abandon what they found they take what they could carry, including files and a mysterious necklace containing a symbol familiar to the aliens. Once home, Max and Isabels house is broken into and the only thing taken were the files. The necklace prooves the most helpful when it leads Max and Liz to an indian reservation and an indian named River Dog who had once know another of their kind. Meanwhile Maria and Michael wait, and worry, about the fate of their friends. Freaking out, Maria asks Michael to calm her down and he does. . .with a kiss.

BLOOD BROTHERS--
Michael and Liz are in a car accident and Max is seriously hurt. To save him Liz, with the help of Michael, Maria, Isabel and Alex, switches Max and Alex's blood samples to hide the fact that Max isn't human. Afterwards the FBI is suspicious and start following them. To find out whats going on Maria and Michael search his room to find a phone number that belongs to Miss Topolsky! Alex later finds out she is FBI and that's the last we see of her!

HEAT WAVE--
When a heat wave hits Roswell, strange things happen. Maria and Michael's relationship turns passionate at the Crashdown and Isabel invades Alex's dream only to witness a romantic dream dance between the two of them. Save Ferris guest stars! Later the gang attends a rave at the old soap factory. There Michael tells Maria that he can't get intense and Isabel uses her power over Alex to get information. When the police bust the illegal rave they arrest Liz and Alex. In jail she tells her unbelieving friend the rruth about the aliens. Later max comes over to Liz's house and they share a Romeo and Juliet type moment that leads to a kiss!

THE BALANCE--
Michael finds out that Max wasn't completely honest to him about what they found at the Reservation. Angry, and curious, Michael sets out to find River Dog. But at an indian ritual something happens and Michael becomes sick. Max and Liz set out to find out how to cure him, while Isabel and Maria look after him. They fight over who can take care of him better, but are both worrued when he begins to build a cocoon around himself. Meanwhile River Dog tells Max and Liz to bring him there. They do, and River Dog explains that the only way to save him is to restore his balance. The ceremony recquires each of them to focus on what he means to them. Liz is frightended for Max, and River Dog feels her fear, telling her to take a step back. The ceremony goes on and in the spirit realm Michael appears surrounded by the four of them: Alex, who shakes his hand, Maria, who kisses him passionately, Isabel, who hugs him and Max who looks past him to Liz. Forced to face his past Michael must reach up and take Max's hand, which he couldn't do when he was younger. In the end, Michael is saved and in the process learns something about his planet.
