“The Day Has Come!” {~Zac~}
Today I called Nikki and told her what time her flight was. Man, I can’t wait until she gets to L.A. Tay and Ike are excited too. Even if Tay tries to hide it. I think he likes her? I mean, she’s so kewl, what’s not to like? Oh my gosh? Do I have a crush on Nikki? I mean all I could think about this weekend was Nikki. I can’t believe this. I haven’t liked a girl in a long time. Its just kewl to think that we both play the drums, I mean how many girls do you know that play the drums? Not a lot. And they way she dresses... Her clothes are just as loud as mine. And Tay thought no one else dressed like me... “ZAC!, HELLO EARTH TO ZAC!” Taylor yelled. “What uh?, OK Tay sorry, I was just thinking.” Zac managed to say. “Zac’s thinking? Oh my gosh, someone call Mom, he might be able to do his school work today!” Taylor laughed. “Don’t hurt you head” He laughed even harder, this time Ike joined him in laughing. “Shut up guys... I was just thinking about Nikki” Zac said in his dazed voice. “Nikki uh, Zac?, So you like her then?” Isaac said. “No!” Zac shot back. “I just think she’s kewl!” He said.
“Well did you realize that if you don’t finish your work, Mom said that just Tay and I could go get her!” “So hurry up if you want to go see your girl friend” Ike said. Zac was turning red. “Shut up! She’s not my girl friend!” Zac shouted at his brothers. “Zachary? Was that you yelling?” Mrs. Hanson asked. “Uh sorry Mom... But tell Tay and Ike to stop teasing me!” Zac pleaded to his Mom. “Zac your 14, just ignore them, you know there just teasing, Plus, Nikki is a cute girl.” Mrs. Hanson winked at Zac.
“MOM! Zac yelled then went to his room to finish his school work. “Nikki will be in L.A. in 7 hours...... So hurry up with your work Zac! Then clean your room, Ike and Tay will help too, And you guys better be all packed you are leaving for a week!” Mrs. Hanson said as she looked at Isaac and Taylor.
“Oh Mom... We can’t clean right now, Oh and don’t worry were all packed, but we uh, have to go put gas in the van and then take Avie to dance and Jess to karate class.” Taylor told his mom, in hopes that he wouldn’t have to clean. “Well OK then when you get back your spring cleaning! OK then, Avie’s class starts in 20 mins. you better go get her and then leave” “Sure Mom, we’ll clean when we get back!” Ike said. “Bye and be safe” She said as she kissed her two boys on the head. “AVIE LETS GO!” Ike yelled down the hall. “Coming coming!” Avie said. “Later Mom!” “Yeah, on our way home we’ll get Nikki, tell Zac sorry.” Tay told his mom.
“Guys, please try to come back for your brother, he’s working extra hard to get done with his work, plus you guys are going to the air port together Tay, You guys are gonna come back and pick him up, or else who would be your drummer?.” Mrs. Hanson asked her sons. “Well OK then tell him to be ready by 2:00pm. Were leaving for the air port at 2:00pm sharp!” Taylor said. “OK, I’ll have him ready...Luv ya!”
Mean while back in Zac’s room... OK, lets see, how should I do this? Would she even want to go to the movies with me? Oh man, what do girls like to watch? Maybe I should just not ask her...we are gonna be way to busy in the studio, THE STUDIO! AH I haven’t even practiced our song since the concert. Zac Jumps off the bed and grabs his drum stix and his practice drum pad.. He starts drumming and singing “I Wish That I Was There”...He was getting all into it...
Tonight his brothers, Nikki and him were gonna to make a demo in the L.A. studio., Then work on recording it, mixing it, producing it, all that stuff in the rest of the week...It was gonna be one of the best weeks in Zac’s life...
Suddenly Zac looks at the clock. “AHHH.. its ten till 2!” “MOM, can you make me lunch and QUICK!” Zac yelled down the hall into his moms room... “Sure hun...” She said..” What should I wear? hmmm... I know!”
Zac got into his closet and got his yellow Doc Martins and his orange parachute pants and his green shirt... ”There perfect!” Zac said to no one in particular... “Now what about my hair? Down or back? I think back...” Zac takes a hair tie and ties back his hair. “ZAC!, lunch is on the table” His Mom yelled from the kitchen. “OK” He ran into the kitchen and ate as fast as he could. “HONK HONK”
“Zac your brothers are here...now get your stuff and remember Chris will be waiting for all of you guys when you get into L.A. Have fun and call me when you guy get there...I love you soo much” She kisses Zac on the face. “Oh Mom, OK OK Luv you too...later mom, We’ll call, and all that stuff....BYEEEEEE” Zac yelled as he left the door. And they are off to L.A.

So I wonder what Zac is thinking right now? Probably about Nikki... She is kewl, and she doesn’t freak out like other fans... She’s just normal. And I miss that in people. I know its weird but somedays I just want to be like everyone else. I mean, come on, when you can’t go to the store to get milk for your mom without being mobbed...that’s when you just want to go to a place and be you, the old you, before we were famous. And I feel normal when I’m around her.. That’s the kewl part about her. She’s just herself. And that’s what I like in girls, there originality, and boy does she have a lot of that in her. No! That’s not a bad thing. I like when people are just them selves.
But I think Zac likes her...and that’s just wrong to like a girl that your brother likes..but hey he said he didn’t.. When we make this single I hope they fans will be OK with us recording with a fan..I mean at the concert they went crazy when Nikki got on stage, and we rocked the house together, I usually just use to playing with my brothers and it was kewl playing with some one not related to you. It was different but kewl at the same time. And boy can she play those drums. She can’t put Zac out a job in 5 sec. flat!
*Taylor puts in his new Eiffel 65 CD and just thinks the whole plane ride about this week and what’s going to happen, and if the song will be a #1 hit?* “Tay?, you OK?” Zac asked his brother. “Yeah I’m find...just thinking...” He said. “Me too!, About Nikki uh?” Zac said looking at his brother.
“Yeah I still can’t believe Island Records is letting us do this? Its just too kewl! I mean I never thought that we would ever be able to play and record with a fan...” Tay said looking out the window...”I wonder what she looks like today?” Tay said in a daze.
“Well we know she’ll look fine...And don’t worry Tay everything will be fine. Oh and I was wondering, Do u like her?, uh know Nikki? Do u like her as a girl friend like?” Zac asked looking like he knew the answer...
“Zac! Well I guess you’ll find out sooner or later..Yeah I guess she is a kewl girl, but you like her, so don’t worry, I won’t get in your way..” Tay said kind of disappointed.
“Whoa, I knew you liked her... I can always tell...But its not fair to you if I keep her all to my self.. how about we just see what happens and see if she’s even single!” They both laughed together... Ike was asleep in the chair in front of them..
“Don’t you think we should wake Ike? I mean were almost there?” Zac asked his brother. “Sure OK but lets make it fun!” Tay said with an evil look in his eye..
Tay and Zac slowly moved toward Isaac and on the count of three they yelled “IIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKEEEEEE!!!!” “AHHHHHHHHHH what the heck?” Ike said scared to death.
“GUYS! Why did you do that to me?” He ask. Zac and Tay couldn’t stop laughing...”We couldn’t help it!” Zac said still laughing. “So I take it were almost there?” Isaac asked Tay.
“Yup, this is it man, our first time in the studio with a fan!” Taylor uttered in a kind of scared voice...
“Don’t be scared man, it will be fine, you know how kewl Nikki is, and remember she has no one with her so we have to be nice and friendly...Plus were gonna have the newest #1 Hit by the time we leave the studio!” Ike reassured them. (The plane lands and they see Nikki in the waiting area...)

Well I’m here in L.A. I still can’t believe what is happening to me? I mean who would guess in a million years that I would be recording a song with Hanson? Well it happened...
And I can’t wait to see they guys, they are so kewl in person, Taylor is just the sweetest guy you could ever meet! And Isaac, he is so funny, even when he doesn’t mean to be. Just thinking about them makes me laugh! And Zac...Zac Zac Zac, well there’s a lot to say about him, he is so nice and kewl. Drummers are kewl people. I mean were both crazy people and we both love to dress loud. That’s what’s kewl. We have the same taste I think.. And I think he likes me, they way he sounded on the phone earlier.. he just keep studdering..it was so cute!
But anyway, I can’t wait. I have never been in a recording studio before! This is going to be the best week of my life. My friends still can’t believe it. My best friend Samantha wanted to come with me sooo bad. But I told her that they didn’t’ ask for anyone else to come with me, but you never know, maybe later in the week they’ll ask if I want anyone with me? But I promised to call her and tell her everything every night this week! She is sooooo jelouse of me. Haha...But I told her she would be the first to get to hear the new song.
They should be in anytime, oh wait do those orange pants belong to the only other person in the world that dresses like me? Yup there here! Its Zac all right.....
“NIKKI!!!!” Zac yelled and everyone looked at us. “Zac, Tay, Ike! wazzzzzup?” Nikki said...she was sooo excited. “Not much, are you ready to go record?” Taylor asked her. “Yup, I’ve got my lucky drum stix with me right here!” She patted her bag.
“OK guys we better find Chris..(Chris is there Manager). “OK wait I think I see him” Zac said looking around the air port. “Hey guys! Over here!” They heard Chris yell. “Hello, you must be Dominique? Nice to meet you, I’m Chris. I will be your guardian while your in L.A.” Chris said to Nikki.
“Hi, you can call me Nikki for short...Kewl, where are we gonna go first?” She asked Chris. “Well to the house that Island Records rented for us.” Chris said.
“Kewl where is it?” Zac asked.”Is it the same one that we stayed at when we recorded “Middle Of Nowhere”? Zac ask excitedly. “Sorry Zac, but this is a different one, I heard it had a pool and Jacuzzi and everything with the works!” Chris said happily.
“How kewl is that? I think your good luck Nick!” Isaac said. “What are we waiting for then? Lets go! Follow me guys, oh sorry and girl!” Chris and all of them laughed....
(They pull up to the one of the biggest houses they have ever seen!)
“You Never Know” :~Ike~:
Well she’s here. This is going to be a very kewl week. I just hope we can finish it in one week. Because I know that we are going to want to go places and stuff like that. But we have to focus on what is important here. And that’s making this single. I mean, what a writer Nikki is? She thought of the kewlest lyrics when she was with Zac. The song is going to be big. I can just feel it.
“Whoa, this whole house is ours for a week?” Nikki ask Taylor in amazement.
“Yup! Its kewl uh? I’m glad Island Records got a big house for all of us. This is going to be a long day, Chris said that we have to be ready to leave to the studio by 5:30pm. I think we should order something in tonight. Cuz, we’re not going to be able to go out and be back in time, Zac! Call 411 and order us 3 large pizza’s.” Tay said to his brother.
“OK bro. 3 pizza’s coming right up” Zac said in a really bad Italian voice. Nikki laughed. Taylor and Nikki put their stuff in the rooms then sat on the couch and turned on the T.V....
“So, Nick, can I call you that?” Tay asked her. “Yeah sure.” Nikki said. “So, what did your family think of all of this? I mean recording your song, with us?” Tay asked.
“Well they were kind of in shock, and I think they still are.” Nikki laughed. “That’s kewl...so...uh..did you tell Monica and Beth yet?” Tay asked her.
“Um yeah, they were kind of with me when you told us?” “Oh, yeah yeah sorry I forgot.” Tay said as he blushed.
Zac came in running full speed and jumped on Taylor. “Never fear ZacMan Is here!” He yelled and laughed. Taylor was gasping for air. And Nikki and Zac cracked up. “Oh, Tay, are you OK?” Nikki said, still laughing.
“Oh yes, I’ll be fine” He managed to gasp. “Zac you could have hurt your brother!” Nikki scolded him. “OK MOM! Sorry!” Zac laughed at his own joke. But No one else was laughing. So he stopped. “I’m sorry dude, you OK? Want so ice or something.” He laughed again.
“No, just leave! NOW, before I get enough strength to kill you!” Taylor said in angry voice. “OK, OK dude, don’t’ get your boxers in a twist, oh and the pizza will be here in 20mins. I put it under Nick’s name so they don’t know that we’re here, OK?” Zac said as he was leaving the room.
“OK Zac.” Nikki yelled to him. Nikki moved closer to Tay, and asked him. “Are you sure your OK? Zac is like a really big boy and I think that, that might have hurt.”
“Yeah it hurt just a tad. Man, he’s got to stop that. He’s 14 he needs to grow up! And fast. I mean, when I was 14 I was nothing like him, he’s still 11 to me.” Tay said to Nikki.
I know, but just let him be him. He’ll grow out of it someday. And then you’ll want the old Zachary back and it wont’ be there.” Nikki said.
“Believe me I’ll be happy never to see him act like that again. It’s just hard for you to understand because your not with him 24-7-365.” Tay pointed out to Nikki.
“I know but he’s a real good kid inside. And you know that Taylor.” “I know, just don’t mind me, he put me in a bad mood.”
“Taylor just let it go. We have a song to record in 1 hour. We should make the best of it.” Nikki smiled at Tay. “OK, your right!” “Ding Dong” The door bell rang.
“Here’s the money Chris left for us for dinner, pay the guy, and make sure he doesn’t find out that were here. I’ll got get Ike and Zac. Its OK, you can do it. If you need help carrying I’ll be right here where he can’t see me. OK?” Tay asked Nikki. “OK.”
“Hi, that will be $27.98.” The pizza dude said to Nikki. “OK” Nikki hands him $30 and takes the pizzas and shuts the door. “Tay help!” Nikki said as she almost drops the pizzas.
“OK give them here.” Tay said. “IKE, ZAC! Pizza’s here, and remember we have a guest, so eat with your mouths closed.” Tay said. But it was too late Ike and Zac had already taken there slices, without even saying girls first.
“GUYS!, Gosh, sorry Nikki here, how many slices would you like?” Tay asked as politely as he could.
“Um, two.” she said. He handed her two slices and took two for him self and they both went and sat on the couch with Ike and Zac.
“So, how do you like L.A. so far?” Isaac asked with a mouth full of pizza. “Uh, its kewl, and with you guys here it makes it even more special.” Nikki said with a smile, then she took a bite.
“Be careful its HOT” Tay yelled to her. “Ahhh hot hot hot!” Nikki said as she burned her mouth. “Oh man are you OK?” Zac asked with a smile on his face.
“I’ll be fine...I just burnt my tongue.” She told him. “Will you be able to sing tonight?” Isaac asked “Yeah, I’m pretty sure. We better hurry though. Didn’t Chris say that he would be here to pick us up at 5:30pm?” Nikki ask Isaac.
“Yikes! Hurry guys, we have 15 mins to eat then get ready to the studio. Zac and Nick, do you guys have everything ready? Tay and I have our stuff.”
“Uh yeah I think? NIkki?” “Yeah I have my stix...” She said. “OK then, eat up...we wont’ be home until real late....probably around 1 or 2 in the morning.” Isaac said to all of them.
(They all finished eating and then got ready for Chris to come and get them. He came and now they just got to the studio....)
“Thinking Of You” *~Taylor~*
Well were in the studio. With Nikki. Oh no, I think I’m starting to like this girl. Zac is gonna kill me. She is so nice and sweet. And we are making her dreams come true, to make a single with HANSON, she told me that all she ever wanted to do is play music after seeing us in 1997. And that’s kewl, to think that all the fans love us... But I think they love us for Ike, Tay, And Zac the MMMBOP brothers. Not the real us. I mean yeah sure there nice, and stuff...But I think that Nikki likes use for who we really are. Not just cute boys with money in there pockets. She is...just...so...GREAT.... I’m sorry if I sound corny, but that’s how I feel. And I think tonight is going to be the greatest night for all of us....
“OK show me the drums.” Nikki said to Zac. “I don’t know? Ask Chris.” Zac said to her. “OK, CHR..” “Wait. I’ll get him.” Taylor said as he went to find Chris in the other room.
“Thanx Tay.” Nikki said. “So, what are all these buttons for?” Nikki said as she looked around. “Well, we use them to record all the different instruments and stuff....and mixing and stuff like that. “Isaac explained to her.
“Oh I see...” “Nikki, Chris said for me to show you wear to play...come with me...” Taylor said to Nikki. “OK...” Nikki said.
“OK, in this room there are drums of all kinds, we can all come in here in a sec and play around and see what other drums would sound kewl on the song...I’ll be right back with Isaac and Zac in a bit..But just play around on this drum set...and I’ll see how well the sound picks up on the mics. Just play when I turn the red light on, OK?” Taylor asked her.
Nikki shook her head yes... and Tay left the room and went into the main room , and Nikki could see him from the clear windows and he motioned her to sit down and get ready to play something.
The red light turned on and Nikki sat down and started playing a song called “Ever Lonely” (Hanson wrote that song)...She started playing and singing her heart out. At that time Isaac and Zac came in and started playing and singing with her. They all harmonized so well together is was great. So then they finished the song and Tay came in and Chris followed after him.
“Guys that was great...now can I join in on one song before we start...How about we run threw the song...” Tay suggested.
“Sure!” They all said. And Chris sat down and watched.
“One, two, three, four!” Nikki counted off.
And they sang...
“That was great...now lets record the drums tonight then tomorrow we’ll do the gatuar then well do piano on Wednesday, and vocals on Thursday.” Isaac said. “Yeah then Friday we can go surfing!” Zac yelled to Nikki.
“Kewl, I’ve never been surfing, its it hard?” Nikki asked the boys. “No, its the funniest thing ever!” Zac told her.
“Yeah, you’ll do fine, We’ll go shopping for wet suits tomorrow after recording, OK?” Taylor asked her. “Uh OK? Sounds like a ton of fun!” She told them.
“OK then Nikki, Zac, lets record just the regular drums first then well do the extra bongos and stuff after we have this...” ”OK” Nikki and Zac said together...
So Nikki got the head phones and told them when she was ready... The red light when on...
