The chair used to be known as Prince Vladimir, who was prince of Voloskia, a small European country. The economy of Voloskia depended on the export of chairs. One day, whilst examining the chairs, his ambitious chief scientist used his latest creation (the chair-o-matic) to transform the prince into a chair, and exported him to America. In the states, the chair went through a dark phase of depression and crime, before he was found by the Smashing Man o' doom, and recruited into the Smashing 100. On that day The Chair vowed to use his chair powers for good only. After the smashing man o 'doom was killed, there was a 100 man battle royal, and the winner would become the new leader of the S100. The chair used his chair powers and won therefore the chair is now the leader and commands the smashing 100 to victory.
