Backstreet Boys "Have It Their Way" At Burger King
The Burger King Corporation announced that launch of
an exclusive five-week promotion with Jive
recording artists, the Backstreet Boys recently. The
offer (which is available with anyvalue meal) includes unprecedented 3-CD and video offer at
participating restaurants in the US and Canada,
beginning August 28th.
"We are always looking for exciting, innovative
entertainment tie-ins that will delight our customers
each and every day. The Backstreet Boys CDs and video will deliver unparalleled value to our
customers," said Richard Taylor, vice president of USA Marketing. "Because of their broad
appeal and significant fan base, we are excited to bring the Backstreet Boys' music to our
customers."
The three exclusive CD's all feature a new song
called "It's True" which is a sneek peek at the
Backstreet Boys' upcoming album. The exclusive CD's
also include nine previously recorded but
never-before released live versions of their greatest hits along with some studio mixes and an a
capella song. Backstreet Boys fans can also pop the CD's in their computers and learn which band
member they're most compatible with, create
personalized scrapbook pages with BSB photos and
quotes, download BSB wallpaper and screensavers, as
well as click on web links.
The video, which is titled "For The Fans," includes a
new backstage footage and personal interviews with the Boys themselves. The video includes live
performances of some of the Backstreet Boys' best hits including "Larger Than Life" and "I Want It That Way" among others.
The CD's and video will sell at Burger King for a recommended price of $2.99 each.
The Backstreet Boys promotion will be supported by three general market national television commericals, two aimed towards adult customers and one for youths.
One of the commericals is titled "The Deal" featured our very own Boys singing an a cappella version of the class "Have It Your Way" song. A spot targeting the Hispanic market and featuring concert footage will also air.
Burger King will the the exclusive title sponser of the Backstreet Boys' upcoming tour for their next album which is scheduled for a November 21, 2000 release. (Source: BurgerKing.Com)
BSB Nominated For MuchMusic Awards
The MuchMusic Video Awards 2000 nominations were released recently. The Backstreet Boys are once again nominated for People's Choice: Favorite International Group for their hit song "Larger Than Life". The Boys go against Limp Bizkit, Santana feat. Rob Thomas, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and N Sync. The MuchMusic Video Music Awards 2000 will be broadcasted live on MuchMusic on September 21, 2000 at 8pm ET.
BSB Webisode To Air This Month
Based on the Backstreet Boys popular Backstreet Project Special Collector's Edition comicbook, here comes the first Webisode of the Backstreet Project premiering August 27th. Aaron Attends Teen Choice Awards, BSB A No Show
The Backstreet Boys won a surfboard at the Second Annual Teen Choice Awards, but it seems that none of the Backstreet Boys got to pick up the surfboard. The Boys won a surfboard for Album Of The Year for "Millennium." Meanwhile, Aaron Carter, the little brother of Aaron Carter showed up at the awards looking good in black.
