20th Century Baseball Association (20thCBA)
Commissioner: Luc St-Arnaud
I'm the president of the 20th Century Baseball Association
This league started in June 2000, but recreates the Majors of the early 20th century. There are 16 teams in the league (like in the real Majors at that time), and real players are created and added to the league at the start of their real careers. The league uses FPSBBpro98, and I think I have done a goob job (that's for others to judge!) in tuning the game and the players to recreate the style of stats of the deadball era. After welcoming some great Hall of Famers such as Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Walter Johnson and Grover Cleveland Alexander in the
past few seasons, the league is about to go crazy in a few seasons when the name Babe Ruth appears on the amateur draft pool. We sim 1 full season every 5 or 6 weeks.
Action Baseball League (ActBBL)
Commissioner: Earl Foster
This is a solitaire draft baseball league utilizing the Major League Baseball
players drafted onto 20 teams. This is a permanent draft league. I started
the league at age 10 in 1972 and have been playing off and on ever since. I
brought the league to cyberspace back in 1998. Due to it's popularity I am
now planning to take on individual ownership of the franchises.
All-Century League (ACL)
Commissioner: Martin King
This is an OOTP3 historical career what-if mishmash league. The original teams were selected by the owners choosing 30 players from the team’s 1940-2000 history from the Lehman database. The league comprises 24 teams and we are currently in 1905. All the ages of the players were adjusted to fit into this. Our rookie drafts work off of two years so next season we will be importing the 1906 and 1989 rookies. Except for the owners, this is one of the finest leagues it has been my pleasure to be involved in.
All Star Baseball League (ASBL)
Commissioner: John Hough
The ASBL is a new league starting up using FPS BBPro '98 as its simulator. Right now, there are numerous openings and visit the league website for complete list of available teams. We will use the new 2001 updated arc, and also will be conducting a draft to determine rosters. There will be no salaries, but there will be a free agency system, which is detailed on the league rules page on the website.
American Folklore Baseball League (AFBL)
Commissioner: Tony Darling
The league is set in the 1961-1979 era, but has an
old-time flavor to the player names. The league features famous teams from
the world of fiction. Teams like the New York Knights, Durham Bulls, and the
Mudville Nine, as well as all eight teams from Robert Coovers' "Universal
Baseball Association". Additionally, every years rookie draft will contain
players like Crash Davis, Roy Hobbs, Sidd Finch, Pedro Cerrano and others.
Baseball 2001 (BB2001)
Commissioner: Tom Coates (aka Hal9000)
Baseball 2001 is a 28 team league and was founded in June 1999 using
FPSBBPro 98 and as of May 2001, we're completing the 2003 season. The
league theme is Baseball in the future, so all the teams have either
SciFi or Science names (eg. Memphis Martians, Springfield Sith Lords &
Roswell X-Files). The players are a mix of current players and
historic players, so Hank Aaron bats against Pedro Martinez and Whitey
Ford pitches to Alex Rodriguez... We have an extremely fair and
balanced bp.ini file that took many experiments to create, so we have
both .400 hitters and pitchers with ERA's under 2.00.
Baseball America League (BAL)
Commissioner: Randy Farmen
The BAL is a dynamic 28 team sim league with many extra features to provide entertainment for its owners with more features added regulary. Give us a look!
Baseball and Lord Lovers (BALL)
Commissioner: Dan Stamey
Co-Founder: Kevin Bullock
Christian OOTP league, recently converted from FPS. Operating since March 1998, BALL was started as a safe haven from unethical owners in various leagues, and as a forum to encourage other Believers who also strongly believe that God loves a great baseball league.
Baseball and Lord Lovers 2 (BALL2)
Commissioner: Kevin Bullock
An ESPN2-type league for BALL, also using OOTP. Prone to expand, injuries set to lower than normal, financial system off. Release five players for the off-season draft. Actively looking for owners! The website is basic right now, but I'm going to upgrade it soon.
Big Daddy's Simulated Baseball League (BDSBL)
Commissioner: Sean Light
Assistant Commissioner: Scott Gabel
This league is to provide a simple league using OOTP. It will be drafted, so
all teams will start out even. The league is just getting up and running, so
we'll see where it goes from there. But dont count it out, it will last.
BIGG
Commissioner: Aaron Nation
We use OOTP3, with the latest update always. The leauge started in 2000. We will be adding many exciitng features like gold gloves, japnese league(maybe) and many other ideas!!!
Bigtime Baseball Association (BBA)
Commissioner: Doug Horner
Co-Commissioner: Bayardrd
The Bigtime Baseball Association is a brand new league, which began its long building proccess a few days ago. We sim the the seasons using OOTP3, begginning with the original rosters since MLB's 2001 opening day. BBA is a really simple sim with great GMs, we have no salary system, or FA system, you just have to know baseball to make it big time in this league. We are recuriting GMs now, so contact me if you want join at bayardrd@aol.com.
California Rotisserie Association for the Baseball Society (CRABS)
Commissioner: Michael Cook
Beginning with six teams in 1994, C.R.A.B.S. has since expanded to 10
teams. We play head-to-head games based on a point system derived from
players performances. Only 12 Major League teams rosters are available to
draft from. With six different champions in seven years, we are a
competitive league that strives for fun at all costs.
Canada vs. USA Baseball League (CUBL)
Commissioner: Kurtis Reynolds
The C.U.B.L. is an OOTP3 league, starting in year 2000. Using 2 leagues, 6 divisions, and 24 teams. It matches up Canadian teams vs. USA teams to see who is the best at the great old game of baseball.
Canadian Baseball League (CBL)
Commissioner: James Wesley
The CBL is a Sierra Baseball Pro 98 fantasy league, in which all 28 teams in this league will be situated in Canada. Their are two leagues, the eastern league is named Fishermen, and the western league is named Farmers. Each league is divided into 3 divisions - East, Central, and West. We will sim 3 games per day in the regular season and 1 game per day in the playoffs. This league will be competitive, but we also want to add a little more fun. Check us out.
Champions Baseball Association (CBA)
Commissioner: Mike Cavanagh
The Champions Baseball Association is a simulated baseball league using Front Page Sports Baseball Pro '98. The league uses Yahoo! Groups as the central page for communicating to members of the league. The league is currently being organized and owners are being recruted. Please check out our site.
Computer Baseball League (CBL)
Commissioner: Eric Wedge
The CBL, founded in 1998, sports the best combination of web design,
owner participation, and unique, realistic rules found on the 'net. Owners
make a league though, and with low turnover, we've developed into a tight nit
group that is a joy to be a part of. The CBL currently uses OOTP2 as its sim
engine.
Continental League of Web Baseball (CLWB)
Commissioner: Glenn Adams
The CLWB, originally founded in 1996, is a 16-team league using OOTP as its
simulation engine, after many years off and on using BBPro. The league uses
MLBPA players, under the notion that with only 16 teams, every team has the
potential to be a powerhouse! This is one of the few, if not the only,
leagues to award prizes to its champions each season.
Cooperstown Diamond Legends (CDL)
Commissioner: Matt Skutley
We are currently in out 5th season
and I feel we have one of the strongest ownership
bases in the OOTP world! In the 24 team league, I
consistently get 20 to 22 lineups for every sim. We
sim 3 times a week, 2 weeks a sim. If we would be
considered for your yearly awards, I think you would
find that this league is very well run!! Sims are
done on time and the league communication is
unsurpassed!!
Diamond Mind Baseball League (DMBL)
Commissioner: Yaro Zajac
The league has been in existence since 1991, with most of the 14 owners based
in the northern New Jersey area. We use Diamond Mind Baseball to simulate our
games. It's a straight draft league, no salaries, with keepers. We play a
full 162-games schedule, including playoffs, preseason, and All-Star Game
using the previous years statistics.
Dynasty Baseball League Championships (DBLC)
Commissioner: Sky Charest
The DBLC started in November '01. The sim engine we use is OOTP3 (Out Of The Park Baseball 3). The DBLC is on its first season and getting better and more organized at season 1 comes to a close. This league is always looking for a GM (preferably who owns OOTP3) who wants to stay for along time & whos dedicated in trying to make his team better any way possible. We have a solid base of GM's who want to make this league one of the best leagues out there. Maybe not the most popular site or league because alot of you dont know about us but we will get our props and recognition...Can You Make A Dynasty?
Extreme Simulated Baseball League (ESBL)
Commissioner: Richard Mason (Sportsbumb17)
This league was started June 2001 and has been running very smoothly without any problems. All the GM's love it and are very active. We have been put in the Top 11 in PSN and have made it to #7 after only 5 sims! Thanks!!!
Fantasy Baseball Association (FBA)
Commissioner: Jason Chandler
The FBA (Fantasy Baseball Association) is a 24 team league using Front Page
Sports BBPro 98 to sim. We started with a 99 players file, but we are now
about to start year 2011, which will be our 13th season. We still have
approximately 1/3 of our original owners. We've been open since Feb. of 1999.
Fantasy Baseball League (FBL)
Commissioner: Joe Ramsey
The league is currently OOTP2, switching to OOTP3 next season which is near. We started in the year 1969 and are finishing up 1976. FBL has been around 18 seasons now with the last 8 using OOTP. We have all 30 teams and we import the real players for each draft plus add in 2 oldtimers since there wasn't 30 teams back in the 70's. We have very low turnover and owner participation is almost 100% every single sim. We sim 2 weeks at a time twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. I think we were the very 1st league to use OOTP since I transferred FBL from bbpro 2 days after the game was released. We use AWR (Average wins rating ) systems to keep things interesting along with special Free Agency rules.
Four Bases Baseball League (FBBL)
Commissioner: Phil Orr
The Four Bases Baseball League is a highly competitive league where
inactivity is not tolerated. Innovative new ideas are always implemented
(Have the owners vote on all-stars, then have the NL and AL winners from
the previous season actually manage the all-star game in real time, top 100
prospect lists, etc.), and there is a strong base of owners. The owners
take it seriously and try to win, and the commish devotes every waking hour
to making the league more fun to be in.
Front Office Baseball League (FOBL)
Commissioner: Simon Cable
The FOBL is a 36-team fictional league using OOTP3 and are currently in our 3rd season (2003). We have a dedicated group of owners that has seen almost no turnover since the early part of season one. The fictional aspect of the league gives us a sense of "ownership" over the teams and the players that I don't think you get from using stock major league rosters. Additionally, the strength of our ownership group has allowed us to create several unique rules and systems that let us get the most out of the process of running a team. The FOBL is a tight-knit community that boasts one of--if not THE--most active league forums around, averaging about 4,000 posts per month.
Glory Days Baseball Association (GDBA)
Commissioner: Mark Cooley
Glory Days is in its 6th season (1925). We started with actual rosters of the 1920 season and protected 4 players and the rest went into a draft. We use the OOTPv3 sim, operating with a full financial system and free agency. We have a STRONG group of owners and have alot of fun recreating the history of MLB!!
Gold Glove Baseball League (GGBL)
Commissioner: Kelly Bussell
Im interested in entering my league into the AFBL. We've been around now since October 1998 and are currently in our 9th season. Most of our owners are origianal owners.
Greater Ambitions Baseball (GAB)
Commissioner: John Ash
We are just getting it start and we are about to kick off the league with the initial draft. The league will use the BBPro simulator. Please contact me if you are interested
Hall of Fame Baseball Association (HFBA)
Commissioner: Sam Martinez
We are 28 custom team league using Sierra BBPRO98 Baseball in our 10th season. HFBA offers a contemporary atmosphere with current/HOF players and has a strong mix of 20-25 gm's connected to other leagues. FA Draft at end of every season. Stop by if you're bored. We have openings.
Hardball Association Baseball League of
America (HABLA)
Commissioner: Jeff Dupree
Our league is in its 11th season, and has been running online since June of
1997. We simulate games three times per week, and run a week of the
calendar per simulation, which means we get a season in about every three
to four months. Our league is one of the older ones on the net, and we
have a super group of owners. We also have a full bidding system with
contracts for all amateur and free agent players. We utilize current
players, a small amount of fictional players, current prospects, recently
retired past players, and old timers. This makes for a very unique group
of players.
Hardcore Simulated Baseball League (HSBL)
Commissioner: Mike Gattuso
The HSBL is a Hardcore Simulated Baseball League it is run out of OOTP3 and was started with a draft. This is the HSB's first year and we have the best managers out there! The HSBL is updated every sim and between sim's all player pages are also updated every sim! This will be the best sim around!!
Hickory Baseball League (HBL)
Commissioner: Qrashman (Matthew Pepe)
We have a great group of owners, and are VERY active, as is
evident by almost 10,000 posts in 2 seasons. We have some unique rules, as
we are constantly adjusting to meet the needs of our league.
Historic Baseball League (HBL)
Commissioner: Dave Corson
Our league is a sim league using OOTP3. We have started with the players from the 1901 season and are working our way through baseball's history 4 days at a time.
Historical Replay Baseball League (HRBL)
Commissioner: J.D. Salazar
The HRBL is an OOTP3 historical replay league beginning in the 1940 season.
So several "what ifs" are being addressed immediately as Ted Williams, etc.
won't have careers cut short due to war. The HRBL is currently in the 1941
season and I hope to sim a season every two months.
Home Run Baseball League (HRBL)
Commissioner: John Heinz
The HRBL is putting the finishing touches on its 11th season. We've been around since August 1998. Basically, I've modeled the league with reality in mind, since that is what I personally find most enjoyable. Aside from a handful of cpu generated players which somehow managed to get created and claimed, we feature ALL real life major and minor league ballplayers (i.e. Joe Mauer, recent top overall MLB pick, just entered our league via the 2008 Ammy Draft). I think we have some rather original features, though I imagine you folks have seen it all. Thats all I'll say for now, if you have any more questions feel free to ask. One last thing, I apologize for the apparent lack of updating of some league features, I recently was away and have therefore been a little slow with a couple things.
Home Town Baseball (HTB)
Co-Commissioner: Dan Nicol
Co-Commissioner: Mark Cooley
Fictional league set in 1918, our first season. League has 8 fictional teams set in small town America in the early 1900s. No financials are run. Teams are solely built with the rookie draft. Many players were renamed for people the original owners know or are related to, making it fun for all!! The Owners have just voted to add 2 expansion teams for the 1919 season.
Internet Fantasy Baseball League (IFBBL)
Commissioner: Jonathan Schatz
The IFBBL is a simulation league that started in November 1999 using end of 1999 MLB Statistics. It is now ending it's 5th season, 2003, as of early April 2001. The leauge uses FPS '98 to simulate the games and has 28 teams, all pre-1998 expansion.
Let's Play 2 Baseball League (LP2)
Commissioner: Joe
Two games a day. Two seasons a year. Let's Play 2! We began our league in
1999 and we have completed the 1999 "A" and "B" seasons; We are currently
playing our 2000 "A" Season. As of right now, we do not have any league dues
and are currently using DMB Version 8. We have a very active ownership of 10
teams. We will be expanding each year until we have 14-16 teams. We play 2
seasons each calender year using the current DMB season disk; an "A" and "B"
season. We have rookie drafts and FA drafts following each "B" season. We
play YEAR-ROUND - except for our short-lived offseason which is Thanksgiving
until January 1st. One of the most unique aspects of our great league, not
including the year round play and the great fellowship of the owners, is that
each team has 3 Hall-of-Famers! These players have established rules
regarding how long they can play, as well as what years can be used. Drop by
and read our League Info page - http://www.geocities.com/bengrieve_99 We are
always looking for great GM's to be placed on our waiting list, as well as
anyone who would like to become part of our league as an "unbiased" league
reporter! We also keep tons of stats as well as league records! Stop on by!
If you like it, let me know! BeanieSLU@aol.com
Magic Mirror Baseball League (MMBL)
Commissioner: Sandy Mac
The MMBL is to be played from 1910 to present day. Sims Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Sims 2 weeks per.
Moot Baseball League (MBL)
Commissioner: Mark Boche
The MBL is a 28 team league and we are just finishing our14th season. We sim 7 days every day and try to keep things as simple as possible. If there is an opening, I'm looking for experienced owners only. Quite frankly, we have a good group of competitive owners and we don't need a rookie owner to destroy a team.
National On-Line Baseball League (NOBL)
Commissioner: Jivares
The NOBL started with the original FPS Baseball '94 game. There were 18 teams
in the inaugural season, expanding to 28 for the second season. We have
simulated through 14 seasons, switching to the 1998 game for the last two.
The NOBL is, quite frankly, one of the oldest, most competitive leagues on
the net. Come on over and check us out. If you do, may I be the first to say,
"Welcome to the Majors...."
National Baseball Simulation League (NBSL)
Commissioner: John LeBlanc
The NBSL is a seasoned league with a great core group of dedicated owners. We are using OOTP3 as our statistical simulator to test our GM skills to make our favorite teams a contender. Our main focus is fun and the enjoyment of the game. We take pride in our league, our website and our owners. We never assume we are perfect and are always looking for ways to better our league. Owners have an open forum for ideas and suggestions because the owners make the league.
Oldtimers League (OTL)
Commissioner: Warren Peters
The Oldtimers League is a 30-Team league just starting it's 6th season. The first 5 years I used TLUB3'96 to play the games. Rosters/players were imported from Oldtime Baseball. This year we decided to switch to OOTP3. Our League is a 'replay' league. Any player retired from MLB is eligible to play in our League. Players are imported from Lahman's Database.
Phantom Baseball League (PBL)
Commissioner: Darryl Harding
This is a FPS98 sim league and I have been running it since Mid 1999, just after my first league was ended because of a crash after about 1 year. Going into its 9th season now we are still running strong with great owner activity. There are 2 major things about this league that stand out for me. One is the longevity of the league itself of course, but the owners too. Out of the 14 owners, 12 are
orginial. The other is the balance of power in this
league. In 8 seasons we have had 6 different
champions, only one team winning back-to-back titles.
I contirbute this to the intelligence of the owners
and the great Free Agent System the Exec and I created. Overall it's been a great ride for me. And i would not ahve it any other way. I don't see this league folding anytime soon.
Political Baseball League (PBL)
Commissioner: Craig Smith
The PBL was started in the summer of 2000 and restarted in 2001. The PBL is your typical FPS '98 sim league with one exception: all of the players are politicians past and present. A great league for political junkies or just someone looking for a good time!
Power House Baseball League (PHBL)
Commissioner: Garrett White
Assistant Commissioner: John Cahill
Since opening in February of 2001, the PHBL has already become one of the most successful leagues on the net. With top owner participation, and great staff Members, the PHBL Looks to lead the way for a long time.
Professional Baseball League (PBL)
Commissioner: PBLCommissioner (David)
The PBL is a league for some of the best owners to come around, and have fun.
Most of the owners that are in the league already are very active. The League
is in it's first season right now, and there should be many more to come. I
hope that you come and join the PBL and show everyone just what you can do.
Rebel Baseball League (RBL)
Commissioner: Dave Fox
The RBL has been around since the end of 1997, and have currently finished our
23rd season. 9 of us, including me, have been around for 10-23 seasons, so we
have a very solid core of owners. The league uses a contract/rookie system to
aid
in the distribution of talent. We sim 7 days a week, 7 games at a time, so we
typically get through 6-7 seasons in a year. The league requires extremely
diligent owners as participation is strictly regulated.
Simulated Baseball Federation (SBF)
Commissioner: Jean Gagnier
28-team league using Baseball Pro 98. Feel free to visit our site, we hope
we can bring you a quality league with a bunch of talented and outgoing
owners, so that we can all have as much fun as possible. No money, no salary
cap, no contracts, no nothing, just simple, straight-forward baseball.
Started in 2001, hopefully ending.... a long time ahead of us!
Serious Simulation Stratagy Baseball League (SSSBL)
Commissioner: Jerry-David Dorfman
The only league where every team any year can win the Championship. Rebuilder Friendly, with a commishiner who is always on to help out the owners.
Suicide Squeeze Baseball League (SSBL)
Commissioner: Lonnie Moody
The SSBL is a very active league
that currently uses OOTP2, but will be switching over to OOTP3 at the end of
our current season. We started with computer drafted rosters from the 2000
season and are currently in our 2nd season. The league is going strong and
our waiting list is starting to grow. We have some rules in place to level
the playing field so that no one team can stay on top forever. All owners
in this league have total control over their team.
Sundown Baseball League (SBL)
Commissioner: Dave Dial
We have been in existence since 1997. Always considered a bastion for elite players of fantasy baseball, we have counted among our members Doug Johnson, Lead Developer of FPS:BBPRO98 for several years, many, many Dynamix game developers, Jeff Downey, owner of Operation Sports, Paul Rosano, Assistant Sports Editor at The Hartford Courant and widely published internet sports game reviewer, etc. Also, the league was founded by Rob Smolka, Senior Editor at PC Gamer and sports columnist of that publication and the General Manager of the old GA Sports Network, which at the time was the largest sports network of gaming sites in the world. Most of the original core owners from 1997 remain. We currently use the OOTP3 engine and have just reformatted the league for this engine. We are in our third week of competition with OOTP though in our tenth season of existence..
TBShaff's Baseball Association (TBSBA)
Commissioner: Douglas Timms
TBSBA is a simulated baseball league that uses Out of the Park Baseball (OOTP) version 2. We are currently in our fifth sim-year and my hopes are that we will be around for many more years to come.
Today there are many active OOTP online leagues. This is a testament to both the realism and enjoyability of the Out of the Park series. What sets the TBSBA league apart from other leagues is its use of fictional players. Because the TBSBA uses fictional players, no one quite knows who is the better player. This adds to the challenge for any team owner who is trying to field a playoff-contending team. It was this added challenge that originally drew me to the TBSBA. I hope you feel the same way. TBSBA does not replay a slice of Major League Baseball history (whether it be 1927 or 2000); it creates its own history.
Talus Baseball League (TBL)
Commissioner: Barry Etheridge
An FBPro '98 League of 14 'fantasy' teams originally established by current Arizona owner and now run by Commissioner Barry Etheridge (possibly the sim worlds only UK based Commissioner?). Now in its 6th season under this Commissioner, the league has some additional features allowing owner/managers to adjust the balance of their team and make long term development plans.
Tool Time Baseball League (TTBL)
Commissioner: Tim Taylor
A new simulation league using BBPRO, and I am looking for potential owners. This will be a standard league with no salary system, and the beginning rosters have been pre-determined by a computer draft. I have reviewed the rosters, and the teams look fairly even. This way everyone will be starting at the same level. I am hoping to have the first sim within the next 2-3 weeks, so there is still some time. If you are interested, visit our website. The site is still in development, but all of the necessary information should be there.
Tool Totally Fantastic Baseball League (TFBL)
Commissioner: Rick Herrera
We are a 2001 career league using OOTP3. We have a unique set of rules and you should read them before applying for ownership. About 2/3 of the league are original owners and we have a good base. Come check us out, I'm sure you'll enjoy.
Ultimate Fantasy Baseball League (UFBL)
Commissioner: Mike Gattuso
The league is run with OOTP3 started in 2001 with a draft. The league uses all MLB teams and uses real player. The league is played by the best GM's around and gives baseball the chance to become like a real like manager.
Universal Baseball League (UBL)
Commissioner: Cameron Akers
The UBL is a league that uses Sierra's FPS 98. We have a "world-wide"
flavor, incorporating teams in the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. We've
got a great group of owners that write news releases and add to a very
loose, fun atmosphere. We're in our fourth season, and show every sign of
sticking around for the long haul. We welcome new owners with open arms!
Come check us out-- I bet you'll want to stay. :)
Upper Canada Baseball League (UCBL)
Commissioner: Reg Sims
The UCBL is currently in it's 9th season of simulating fantasy baseball using BBPro. The UCBL started out with 8 strong and solid owners, and has seen it expand over the seasons to a 14 team league. This league has been known for solid GM's and also a "pitchers" league that relies heavily on the ammy draft. This league does not have free agency nor salaries. Teams are named after real life major or minor league teams and there is a minor league system in place. Please come check out my site, as I believe the UCBL is one of the best leagues out there.
WalkMan Jeffro Baseball League (WJBL)
Commissioner: WalkMan and Jeffro
The WJBL was founded June 2000. The league has recently been
split into two leagues: WalkMan's League and Jeffro's League. Both leagues
consist of 24 teams.
Wild Card Baseball League (WCBL)
Commissioner: George Harris
The WCBL is a real good league with a lot of wonderful owners. I have some teams that need owners for them and they are in first place too. Please look at our web site for the rules and teams. Email me if you are interested in our league.
Worldwide Baseball League (WWBL)
Commissioner: Sean Rogers
Worldwide Baseball League has 30 teams in world cities. We sim about a month
every week and will continue for several seasons. We are presently preparing
to go to our first offseason. The league uses a financial system and has a
minor league system. Amateur drafts happen every season to keep players up
to date (foreigners and guys like Mark Prior.)
World Wide Baseball League (WWBL)
Commissioner: Jean-François Morin
We are currently in our 9th season of action. We have a simple but
pretty cool looking site. We use a free agency system that allows bad
teams to improve. And our main accomplishment is our Minor league system. All players in our LOW and AAA are playing baseball in our minor
league to show the general managers that they can be brought up to the
majors and compete (lineups, stats, boxscores, etc ... ). In every
Amateur draft I create 15 real MLB players that are not in our league
yet.
Zaffiro Baseball League (ZBL)
Commissioner: Dave Fox
We use players from the MLB Assn that came with the game, along
with a simple contract/salary system. There are no drafts in this league. "New"
Talent comes by unretiring players and adjusting their ratings. So teams that
are
rebuilding will have to know how to trade well, because until an AAA system
comes
in to play [we're working on it], it will be difficult getting new talent to
your
team to "go for the gold". We sim seven days a
week, but the number of days sims varies. I still look for active owners for the
league, but mostly for offseason duties when we do our player bidding. So
prospective owners MUST have about a week's worth of time in the offseason to do
player bidding, and put in opening day lineups.
