Ryu was the first and the best. You might say that without him there would never have been
this many fighting games. From the beginning (well, 1987), he has fought against Sagat and
others. He lives for the fight, and always seeks greater challenges. He trained together
with Ken under sensei Gouken for many years, perfecting his Dragon Punch and Fireball.
Master of Shotokan Karate, and the only true warrior in the fighting world.
He's very dedicated to his martial arts and is always trying to better his skills.
He was raised in the country so he's sort of a country bumpkin. He
and his best friend, Ken, have been training together since they were little kids.
I guess Ryu's only interest is his martial arts; he's
never seen hitting on a girl, spends most of his time training . . . maybe he's gay????
