Introduction
This paper is comprised of astrology for winning the national elections in the United States in 2016. As an update with a change of hypothesis on the best chart to use to show the winner, it shows that entirely consistent and highly specific results occur in the 8th chart, also known as the harmonic chart for the 8th house in charts of winners and loser in elections.
It looked, in the last paper, like the results were entirely consistent and the prediction was still wrong. How do I know that this one is any better? I know because the specifications for winning and losing in the earlier paper were sometimes even based on one or two small astrological conditions, varying from individual to individual. Here, however, the specifications are far more complex and the same for each individual, and the same for all the surrogates in both winner and loser categories, that is, they fall into mutually distinct classes. Those results are much harder to arrive at by accident, or even by unconscious preference of one candidate over the other.
It is likely the latter—unconscious bias—which influenced my interpretation of the astrology of the 3rd chart in the first paper, creating an incorrect prediction. As stated, my specifications in that paper were not rigorous enough. It is also true that such errors occur commonly in science. That is why double blind studies came into existence—in an effort to eliminate, as much as possible, the conscious and unconscious bias of the individuals involved in the study.
The premise of both papers is that the winner always has the better astrology and that it specifically shows by timing in that chart. Here that premise is expanded to state that in the 8th chart the winner (and all his/her surrogates) shows a golden benefic, or its sum, in election results. And that the loser, and his/her surrogates, shows a dark malefic, or its sum, in their election day astrology. What constitutes “better” as well as “timing” is discussed further below along with comments on the meaning of the 8th chart.
Below results presented are those of the 8th chart for November 9, 2:00 a.m. EST (see note below on date and time used for "election day").
Why that chart? The 8th chart is a harmonic development of the 8th house in traditional astrology. That house has dominion over shared assets and values, so it plays a prominent part in the success (or failure) of marriages. And because marriage is an attempt on the part of two individuals to “become one,” the 8th house is correlated with transformations of all kinds.
The 8th house also has a distinct role in commonly held finances, such as stocks and bonds. In this role it clearly shows how the behavior of a high number of individuals affects the income of each individual, yet none of it is entirely predictable beforehand.
So it is not difficult to see the correlation of a benefic 8th chart with candidates winning an election. The winner has achieved a form of “we”--shared values--with a large number of followers and been awarded office to represent them. The loser failed to achieve that status.
As occurred in the earlier paper, here it is still believed, and proven, that the family and surrogates of each candidate will have election astrology which matches in kind the astrology of their candidate. Therefore, when their candidate wins, they, too, win. And vice versa for the loser..
This study includes both candidates, a few of their family members, and a larger number of their surrogates—36 in all, with 15 in the Trump camp and 21 in the Clinton camp (the latter were easier to find birth data on). It includes not only other politicians, but politicians in other countries, movie stars and other socially prominent individuals such as news commentators and the Pope.. I would have included the chart of some one in my own family—an ardent Trump supporter—but lost his data in 2002. My personal results are shown but not counted in the tally.
The stupendous advantage of this approach to election astrology is that astrologers using this method no longer have to have the correct birth data on either candidate. It would be good if they did, but not necessary. They just have to have correct birth data on several (preferably at least three) of their family and/or surrogates. Any piece of the electorate—as long as those individuals have strong preferences for one of the candidates—can be used to see the results for their fellow voters as well as who won.
From that it follows that it is possible to know the results of the 2020 election. We do not now (October 2018) know who the Democratic candidate will be. Unless he is forcibly removed from office before 2020, Trump will be the Republican one. Below I explain why I think Trump lacks the astrology for something as traumatic--from the point of view of the president--as being impeached and removed from office. I am not so certain about application of the 25th Amendment as I have no examples but believe it, too, would demand long-term difficult astrology that Trump lacks. Even if he does not run, and even if a few of the individuals have changed their preferences or even died, we can look at general astrology for well-known Democrats and Republicans that will deliver the result by party. Certainly if Trump runs and wins, some of the anti-Trump people will show unpleasant loss. I have done that research with enough examples to rule out too hasty a conclusion. I am working on writing that paper now. SORRY, but I have been too unwell to do the amount of work involved in writing this paper. As soon as I am able, I will write and post the paper.
[It is now January 2020 and Trump has been impeached by the House of Representatives and is now in trial by the Senate. I stick to my earlier statement that Trump lacks the long-term negative influence that would go with--not impeachment--but removal from office. Nixon had it. Clinton had one, too, but his turned out to flow from his being acquitted by the senate and becoming symbolic of his heart trouble (see heart paper at https://www.angelfire.com/sd/binah/heart.html) and surgery. It was a very very slow progression to his mercury, ruler of both B MC and B Asc. SA fate like being forcibly removed from office, especially by someone like Trump, should show very negative, slow-moving saturnian astrology symbolic of a long-term downturn in social prestige and charisma. I don't see it. His apparent center of gravity chart (COG) is looking more and more like his 2nd chart, the one that reflects his interest in possessions and money. It is also one of his two most benefic charts. Since his election it has been undergoing progressions of both harmonic saturns to Angles, reflective of the considerable difficulty and conflict engendered by his tenure. But within a month or several at most, both of those will have passed beyond Angles. So they hardly seem reflective of the long-term shame of being removed from office. What Trump does have that must somehow be playing into his present fate is he has mars ruling both 4th house cusps. B mars in Leo is in b 12th/c 7th houses (simultaneously). It is a classic set that is part of the astrology for being attacked (mars/12th) by others (7th), with progressed B Asc lighting from Scorpio by square and p c sun lighting it from Taurus (all around 2 degrees of their sign). With the right astrology, it could end his life--something that would explain why he has no long term Angle/saturns for removal from office. It may--we have not enough examples to research this--also represent his experience of some of the members of his "own" party turning on him and declaring to be FOR allowing more witnesses and documents in the present senate trial. But if that were to happen, it would suggest he is at least found guilty if not removed from office, and as stated, he lacks the long-term Angle/saturn for that long-term loss of prestige. Maybe he will successfully refuse to leave office even if convicted? It is worth keeping in mind that the mars rules a 4th house and Trump is in his 70s, so, in the end years of his life. As such it can represent an end-of-life set, but it may also represent a painful incident that occurs in the latter years of his life. I look forward to arriving at a clearer understanding of this part of his astrology.]
When the 2020 election paper is posted it will be with the following link: The U.S. Presidential Election for 2020
Another huge advantage is that this form of election astrology can be used, checked, and considered in all elections of the past, in any current, and in all future elections.
One drawback of this approach is that we do not always know where the candidate (or surrogate or family) is at the time his return occurs, or even where he will be when the election is decided. That means we cannot know the correct Angles for their return prior to the election. We will still know their birth and conception Angles as well as their progressions. But, as is shown below, sometimes the Angles of the return are key in picking up the decisive set. When unable to make a reasonable guess, I have used place of birth for casting returns.
Another drawback occurs when the surrogate is also either a candidate herself, or is in office and has endorsed more than one candidate in more than one race, not an unlikely event. Mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio, likely belonged in this category. So did David Duke, who lost his bid for the senate, but his candidate, Trump, won. Results for individuals like this can be confusing and so they are not good to use as surrogates.
A drawback for the 2020 election prediction being done in early 2018 is that any one of the subjects could have died or switched political allegiances. But there will be enough examples for both parties that such occurrences will not obscure the correct conclusion.
The number of surrogates available, however, for presidential elections, reduces those drawbacks to insignificant.
Those not interested in the actual astrology for each individual can search for “tally” and arrive at a table below showing election results, followed by the Discussion Those who want to see the consistency of results for the 8th chart need to read the whole paper. They are impressive.
Here is the note on the date and time of the election. Election day 2016 falls on Tuesday, November 8. Since it is usually early the next day when we have a projected winner, I used 2:00 a.m. EST on November 9 as the date and time to look at all the astrology, including transits (position of planets in the sky at the time). For the purposes of this paper, that is "election day." Aside from the Bush v. Gore contest (which, as a matter of fact, did not show a winner until December of that year), results of most elections are known by 2 a.m. on election day + one. It is all right from the point of view of the astrology if the results are actually known a few hours earlier.
Before going any further, below are comments on the nature of this very different form of astrology.
Astrological Method
This method is not traditional. It uses birth and conception planets and their harmonics and houses, all of which share the same axis:
This astrology uses the sidereal positions of the planets based on the Fagan-Bradley’s SVP. Here is the link to the paper which discusses the practical differences between sidereal (Eastern) and tropical (Western) zodiacs: Paper on Tropical vs. Sidereal Astrology/
Harmonics are taken from the sidereal position of the planets. The Egyptian harmonic, discussed in the paper “About This Method” (link below), is used.
”Lights” include suns, moons, and moons nodes. When mercury rules one or two Angles, it also acts like a light and has the same orb as the other lights. The MC or Asc also acts like a light, but one with only a 2° orb, because when a set is on an Angle it does not need a light to be active.
This method uses only conjunctions, applying and separating squares, and oppositions. Orbs for static planets with lights is about 2.5° ; without lights, about 1°. Orb for MC/planet or Asc/planet is 2° in the static, pre=progressed chart and 1 degree or less in the progressed chart. Planets so related to each other are referred to as in the same “set.” A set, then, is two or more planets (or an Angle) connected to each other through conjunction, square, and opposition within the defined orbs. Sets without Angles are more active when they contain a light, and less active without one. Learning to look in terms of “crosses” can be helpful in rapidly finding planets that are in the same set.
The reason the word "about" is used in defining acceptable orbs in the paragraph above is that this method is so much different than other methods. For one thing, it has many more lights (suns, moons, and moon's nodes). They include birth and conception planets and their harmonics (for each harmonic chart) and their progressions. As well, lights in current returns function the same as the birth/conception lights for as long as the return lasts (40 days). Here I am having to introduce a change from past working rules discussed in the paper on "Chartrules." It lists larger orbs than those above which with less experienced astrologers end up creating too large, not valid sets. As well, orbs have to be changed in all previous papers. This is because when there is more than one light in a set, orbs are extended a little bit more than stated above.
Further, in terms of interactions with others, we can and do unconsciously, without effort, temporarily "borrow" the lights of others in our immediate environment. This is especially true, for instance, in long-term relationships such as occurs with parents, siblings, marriage partners, and long-term bosses and friends. Within those relationships planets--ones without lights in our own charts and therefore expressing little--pick up excitation from the suns, moons, and nodes of those other individuals and we start experiencing their expression in ourselves. We live in an ocean of energy, including each other's, and that is symbolically represented by such "borrowing" of the lights (consciousness, which is a form of energy) of others.
Stating fixed and inelastic orbs is also endlessly complicated by the fact that most of the charts used here and in the work of all astrologers are not rectified so that we are not absolutely sure time of birth is correct. If it is off by only four minutes, Midheavens are off by approximately one whole degree, and that affects reliability of orbs with lights when only 1 to 3 degrees is the allowable orb.
So "acceptable orbs" is a very dynamic process. I am still learning something about them. Yet, with 33 years’ experience with research with this method, I state unequivocally that when it comes to relationships between planets, "closer is always stronger" and keeping orbs stringent is not only important, it is the way things work empirically. Doing that "reasonably" with this method so different than standard astrology can only really be accomplished through increasing experience with the method for each astrologer. That takes time and much work, usually research.
Because this approach uses both a birth and conception chart and they share the same axis, birth houses usually overlap different houses of the conception chart. These are called “house overlaps.” I did not discuss them in this paper, but they can be significant. The convention used when writing about house overlaps is to put the birth house first, then the conception house. So, for instance, a “5th/1st” overlap refers to an overlap of birth 5th house with conception 1st house in that order.
Birth planets (including their harmonics) rule only birth houses. Conception planets (including their harmonics) rule only conception houses.
For a more thorough explanation of this astrological approach, refer to the following papers:
About This Method
Empirically-Derived Rules for Reading These Charts
Because returns prior to the event in question play such a vital part in assessing the outcome, more should be said about them.
This method uses a return that occurs every time the sun in the sky reaches exactly 40° 00’ 00” from the individual’s birth sun, then 40° 00’ 00” from that sun, then 40° 00’ 00” more from that sun. This results in nine (harmonic) solar returns per year per individual throughout his lifetime. The harmonic involved is the ninth, which is the harmonic used to develop the 7th chart. Their Angles (Midheaven and Ascendant) and their planets relative to the individual’s birth, conception and progressed planets have proven invaluable. All work together to demonstrate the astrology of an event.
The difficulty of doing returns for elections is that most of the time it is unknowable where individuals were for the return covering the election. Therefore, very few return Angles can be used in evaluating results. That is a loss, because return Angles are just as important as progressed ones. For instance, I resorted to using Paul Ryan's return Angles to come to conclusion. But where Paul Ryan lives, and where he will likely be during the election, is a well-known fact--Janesville, WI. For all the other individuals in this paper, every part of the return, other than the Angles, is usable no matter where each individual was. In those cases, the return was done for the place of birth.
Only planets falling within 2° of return Angles are valid. Any planets in the return which fall within 1° of the individual’s birth, conception, progressed birth, and progressed conception Angles are also effective. Houses within returns are not interpreted. Whatever falls on Angles and into sets with lights (return, birth, conception, and progressed) are primary.
Each candidate has one harmonic solar return prior to the election which is in effect for the date of the election. Each will also have different returns occurring prior to the inauguration. I did check inauguration astrology for Trump and Clinton, but have not included it in this paper. Inauguration results were consistent with election results.
So, how with this method do we judge what, actually, is “winning” (and losing) 8th chart astrology?
The Significators For Winning and Losing Events
There are two planets which sponsor much of our bad fortune—physically, mentally, and materially, depending on which chart they fall in and which houses they influence.
And two different planets sponsor much of our success, joy, and good fortune.
The planetary authors of most of our good feelings arevenus and jupiter, known to traditional astrology as the lesser and greater benefics, respectively.
Venus andjupitertogether with a light (sun, moon, or moon's node) on or influencing an Angle, create a golden benefic. Golden benefics are in evidence in almost all instances of success, winning, joy, in all areas of human experience.
The planetary authors of many of our difficult feelings and experiences aremarsand saturn, known to traditional astrology as the lesser and greater malefics, respectively.
From the above discussion, it should now be clear how we are going to identify the winners and losers of the election:
Those individuals with light/venus/jupiter
, usually forefront (ruling an Angle) in the 8th chart belong in the winner’s camp. Sometimes they are not all in the same set and must be “summed.” Other benefic set will occur, but the existence of this “golden benefic” is usually prominent among winners.
Conversely, the losers of the same contest at that time will show an excess of light//mars/saturn, usually forefront, in the 8th chart. Sometimes they occur in separate sets and must be “summed.” Other malefic sets will occur, but the existence of this “dark malefic” is usually prominent among losers.
Below I show more of their election astrology for the candidates themselves and those individuals whose deciding astrology must be summed than either their family or “surrogates. Sometimes if there is a golden benefic or dark malefic, only they are shown as sufficient evidence that they dominate the astrology at the time.
To make the prevalence of these two sets of planets more obvious in their astrology for election day, throughout this paper I have coded venus and jupiter in maroon, while mars and saturn are coded red.
Charts Used
This election uses only the election day results of each individual’s 8th chart. Its meaning is discussed above, in the Introduction.
Here is a reminder of conventions used in this astrological method:
In the partial charts shown below, birth planets and their harmonics are inside the circle. Conception planets and their harmonics are outside the circle. Conception sidereal planets are red; conception harmonic ones, black. Birth sidereal planets are blue; birth harmonic ones, green. Occasionally, because of space limitations, I have had to violate this inside/outside arrangement, but the color coding remains constant.
Abbreviations used below are b = birth, c = conception, and t = transiting. MC = Midheaven. Asc = Ascendant. B-Loc MC, for instance, stands for the birth Midheaven for a given locality. And pB-Loc MC, for instance, represents a progressed birth Midheaven for a given date and place. Even though the harmonic used for each chart is always two more than the chart’s number, in these papers—for ease of reading—I write the harmonic number the same as the chart number. For example, the 5th chart uses the 7th harmonic, but to avoid worse confusion I have established the convention of writing harmonic planets for the 5th chart as, e.g., c5 mars which reads, “the harmonic for the 5th chart for conception mars.” Something like “pc10 venus” is translated the harmonic of progressed conceptionvenusfor the 10th chart, while “t7 venus” stands for the harmonic of transiting venus for the 7th chart.
Worth repeating: the acceptable orb for progression of a planet to an Angle and vice versa is no more than 1°. If it is with a light, orb is extended by about one-half degree. Return Angles, however, have an allowable orb of 2°, with 2° being the weakest acceptable.
All of the individuals are well-known, so biographical information is kept to a bare minimum.
THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTAL ASTROLOGY
Donald J. Trump, real estate magnate and billionaire, is running for the presidency of the United States. I have written more on his chart than others because of his rather unorthodox approach to being a candidate.
Notice that Trump has a dual overlap between 3rd and 9th houses which produces a kind of identity between lower and higher mind, the result depending on exactly what he thinks. So, religiosity (9th) can usurp practicality (3rd), but narrow thinking (mostly 3rd) can also usurp broader viewpoints (9th).
His 8th chart is not particularly benefic, but it is not that afflicted either. The Angle/moon/mercury/mars probably represents a form of verbal aggressiveness, much the same as is exhibited by litigating lawyers
Sets in this chart important for the November election were:
The above golden benefic seems weak because venus and jupiter are opposed, but the important part is that venus is being lighted by the node.
At that same time (10 PM) t venus was at 1 Sagittarius 06 conjunct pc8 moon at 1 Sagittarius 06.
His strong, Angle-influencing golden benefic occurred through
Trump did have a dark malefic at the time. It was comprised of c8 moon at 20 Aquarius 13 in the same set with t saturn at 20 Scorpio 18 and t8 mars at 20 Aquarius 47. Without influence to an Angle, it was weaker than, especially, his golden benefic listed last above.
In his 10th chart Trump has an interesting set worthy of comment. Here it is in table form:
Date | PC Moon | PC10 venus | jupiter |
10/26/16 | 8 Pisces 33 | 8 Virgo 23 | 8 Virgo 26 |
11/02/16 | 8 Pisces 50 | 8 Virgo 41 | 8 Virgo 26 |
11/09/16 | 9 Pisces 09 | 8 Virgo 58 | 8 Virgo 26 |
I interpreted the above set to be a boost in Trump's polls following the third national debate on October 17. It turned out to be the ongoing rise in his popularity which followed the statement by FBI director Comey, on October 28, that there more emails on Clinton that needed investigating. At that time progressed c moon was at 8 Pisces 38.
Since Trump has been running on his prowess as a business man, and his "brand" plays a large part in that prowess, a look at his 2nd chart (personal finances) in general and for election day should be interesting.
Set (3a) shows Trump has an Angular golden benefic in this chart. venus and jupiter are in the same set with C Asc. The venus is a little wide (2° is the allowable orb), but each time it picks up a progressed or return moon will form a stronger set.
Set (3b) shows another angle/venus influence, with b2 sun ruling B Asc while c uranus rules c 2nd house and b uranus rules b 8th house. The 2nd/8th overlap is helpful in that c jupiter at 8 Virgo 26 is in b 2nd house and simultaneously in c 8th. C2 venus is in b 8th while simultaneously (through a house ruler) influencing c 2md.The mercury in Leo is NOT on B Asc, but it is angular with B MC at 0 Taurus 23.
All of the above give Trump—except for really difficult progressions—a lifelong benevolent astrology for making money.
On the day of the election he has two sets which are worth comment. Progressed C Asc at 28 Aries 27 is in the same set with pc2 mars at 28 Capricorn 07. I did not check to see which was moving faster, but imagine it is the progressing harmonic mars, so this set is not yet exact. Progressed c2 saturn at 3 Capricorn 22 is conjunct C Asc at 3 Capricorn 20. Both suggest he suffers financially. Progressed c2 mercury at 13 Pisces 08 in c 2nd house is in the same set with c NN at 13 Gemini 04. A progressed mercury in Pisces in this instance suggests a sense of suffering and loss.
On the other hand, these are temporary, progressed sets. His 2nd chart starts out at birth--its major emphasis--with both venus and jupiter on Angles. That is, it is a golden benefic. So, he will recover from this. In particular, if he starts a media company with the following of deeply dedicated individuals he has gained from running for president, he will not only recover, he will recoup his losses and go on to make lots of money—maybe more than he had before he ran for the U.S. presidency.
In pursuing devoted followers rather than the presidency, he will be using his Scorpio consciousness, discussed above, in the service of building on his Taurus consciousness.
This is a fairly benefic 8th chart. Set (a) shows an Angle/jupiter. While Set (b) does not, it shows c jupiter and b8 venus with C MC close to their midpoint. As well, her b8 jupiter, ruler of B Asc in c 8th house, in the same set with b8 venus only needs a light to become a golden benefic.
Tiffany’s is one of the exceptions to the rule found for this 8th chart election event. Her father won, but her chart shows a loss. I can only assume there was some personal reason she may not have wanted him to win. Of course, she may just be going through some difficulties of her own. Here are the main sets:
And this dark malefic:
Unnumbered sets above include B MC conjunct mercury/venus (mercury rules C MC so acts like a light) and C MC in the same set with moon and neptune. It is a highly “feminine” 8th chart (as is one of the sets below in Falwell, Jr.’s 8th), with some implications about emotional intimacy—that is, assuming we can interpret theses set in this chartthis way. In terms of elections, it offers no affliction.
Mrs. Trump has two sets pertinent to the election:
Her golden benefic consists of:
The set with C Asc above shows an Angle/sun/saturn/pluto. Aside from its not being all that favorable for elections, does it imply he is emotionally distant?
His astrology for the election is:
his golden benefic for the election is comprised of:
Rumseld’s 8th chart Angles are divided between benefic and malefic. Set (a) shows sun/jupiter on an Angle. Set (b) shows sun/saturn on a different Angle.
His sets for the elections were:
All three of the previous sets are golden benefics. They lack influence to an Angle.
Return8 SN at 26 Libra 40 is conjunct C MC/sun/jupiter shown in Set (a) above.
Giuliani’s 8th chart is mixed with one each of benefic and malefic sets. Set (a), the benefic one with that b8 moon at 28 Libra 41, pulls his moon conjunct jupiter in Cancer into a definite set with C MC.
Set (b) is hard because that c8 saturn at 5 Pisces 30 hits both B MC and B Asc in Gemini and Virgo, respectively, especially because of that c8 moon, ruler of c 3rd house, at 6 Sagittarius 07. Pb saturn was at 5 Gemini 43 around age twenty, adding another saturn to the set, creating several years before and after the exact conjunction of darkness and/or struggle.
Giuliani had both a one-set golden benefic and a summed one for election day:
Return 8 jupiter at 6 Sagittarius 49 has entered Set (a) above, alleviating temporarily the harshness of the double Angle/moon/saturn. This gives him a double Angle moon/jupiter, which summed with the set above, yields a golden benefic (both with lights.)
He has a number of benefic node sets.
His golden benefic for the elections occurred through:
He had:
They are heading for his C Asc at 23 Taurus 54 but without a light neither was close enough to produce a dark malefic. The Asc/mars part matures a little later than election day, perhaps when he finds out he will not be the new Secretary of State..
Murdoch's successful interest in media is shown by:
He also has c jupiter and b3 sun in Gemini.
A look at his Set (a) above—Angle/sun/jupiter--shows he also has a “leg up” on such 8th house matters as shared resources (stocks, etc.) as well as elections.
Set (b) shows C MC in the same set with moon/2mars. A total guess is that this makes him highly aggressive in pursuing his own interests, e.g., buyouts and takeovers.
He has two golden beneficfor Trump’s election:
In addition to the above, his pb8 jupiter at 1 Sagittarius 32 is conjunct t venus at 1 Sagittarius 33 (no light, no Angle) and pb8 venus ruler of B Asc, at 28 Aquarius 49 is conjunct t8 jupiter at 28 Aquarius 48 (no light).
The partial chart above shows that Limbaugh, through Set (a), has an all-charts golden benefic. B MC, in Set (b), is also in the same set with venus. These, along with the fact Set (a) also occurs in his 10th chart of career, astrologically account for Limbaugh’s enormous success as a radio show host. The surprise is that they are in Aquarius, usually a progressive sign. Perhaps—being on the cusp of the 7th house—they refer to his “enmity” with liberals and progressives. The 7th house shows “open enemies.”
His sets for the election were:
Return8 moon at 2 Aquarius 04 falls into the golden benefic set shown in Set (a) above and re-emphasizes it, forming his election golden benefic.

Nicklaus is an American golfer who won the U.S. Open in 1962 and 1967, and the Master's in 1962, 1963, 1964, and 1972. Wikipedia 12/2/16) states he is “widely regarded as the greatest golfer of all time, winning a total of 18 career major championships.”
Nicklaus’ 8th chart is unremarkable except that C Angles are both ruled by mercury, which acts like a light under those circumstances, making it very important.
His time of birth, Columbus, Ohio, was given as 3:00 AM. Times like that—on the hour—always raise suspicion about their accuracy. But Nicklaus’ time appears correct. His great career success suggest he has at least a summed golden benefic in his 10th chart of career:
Nicklaus had neither a golden benefic nor a dark malefic for the election. His benefics outnumbered his malefics, but the latter were not insignificant. The benefics, however, were much stronger by timing (2 AM 11/9). Here they are:
That progressed jupiter is late to conjunction of the sun, but the addition of the SN to the set has held the conjunction longer than usual.
By definition a golden benefic or dark malefic is on or influences an Angle, but I can verify by hundreds of past experiences that it takes less than that for the feeling of “winning” to occur. Transit of venus to a moon can cause it. The addition of the transit of jupiter to another moon just confirms it. In my own astrology I have witnessed the former most in feelings associated with winning. Jupiter transits tend to give one the feeling that at last things are going right, or at last one understands.
Sets (a) and (b) summed show an Angle/saturn/pluto, a reclusive set for so public a figure. Set (b) also includes venus so in his charts which addjupiterto an Angle, Hannity gets his golden benefic for that area of his life. One of them is his 3rd chart of mind, in which c8jupiteris at 2 Libra 40. His 3rd chart may well be his center of gravity (COG) chart. It shows a bright man recognized for his intelligence.
Hannity’s sets for the election show:
The above set contains an opposition of venus to jupiterwhich is weaker than the conjunction or square, and it does not influence an Angle, but it is still a golden benefic. The above sets sum to 2Angle/light/venus along with several light/venus/jupiter sets not influencing an Angle. He does not have anything malefic to counter these (Angle/mars, but no Angle/saturn) so this astrology represents a win for Hannity, and therefore, Trump.

Duke is a nationally known white supremacist in support of Trump, who has disavowed his support. Duke is also running for the U.S. Senate as the member from Louisiana. After thinking about it for a while, I concluded that the results shown here are Duke’s with regard to his own loss for his race for Senator. I believe that was much more important to him than whether or not Trump won..
Duke’s Set (a) sometimes interprets as violent. It can also interpret as a depth with regard to some form of behavior or thought process. mars in the set rules b 3rd (mind) and 8th houses, so it interestingly suggests an extreme belief that in turn ejects him from a common commune (8th house) with others.
His Set (b)—double Angle/mercury/venus/mars—is active, aggressive (mars), but it also suggests an ability to speak well (mercury/venus) and with conciliation. Add his C Asc in Libra (not numbered in the drawing above) conjunct venus conjunct c8 SN all in Libra, the suggestion of conciliation is far stronger. It may be that part of his need for separation and a war-like (mars rules C Desc) is compensation for an inclination to be too much a yes man.Duke’s pertinent election sets for his loss were:
He had a progressed Angle/venus in
His dark malefic was comprised of:
Set (a) above shows that for his whole 8th chart Falwell, Jr. has a golden benefic that is wide to B MC. That mercury in the set rules C Asc, so acts like a light, and increases orb for planets to Angles somewhat over 2°.
Additionally, the moon conjunct venus conjunct C MC in Pisces, plus his sun/mercury/Angle with B||Asc, implies his 8th chart adds up to a very sweet one for, among other possibilities, pastoral counseling, with mercury for speech, and the moon/venus for responsiveness and emotional sensitivity., IF, that is, he does any pastoral counseling. He also has moon/uranus/neptune/SN/NN with its spiritual/religious implications. It certainly makes me more interested in research on all the implications of the 8th chart.
For the election, Falwell, Jr.had two golden benefics in addition to both venus and jupiter progressed to Angles. Here are the two:
Set (a) above shows an Angle/venus, good for showing affection and likability. Set (b)—Angle/mercury/uranus—is a set showing intelligence. It has also been called a set for “karate mouth.” I know not how to tell why some people use it that way and others do not.
Knight’s sets for the election were overwhelmingly positive, with two golden benefics. There were:
The two Angles in the set make it possible for it to represent one whole set. However, we can also use B Asc to make the following set:
Seagal’s Sets (a), (b) and (c) above summed show Angle/mars/jupiter/neptune/pluto. Other than this paper and the one on the lottery, I have done little work with the 8th chart. However, this Angular influence appears to show an emotional oneness (8th chart/jupiter) with others through fighting (mars/pluto) and movies (neptune). I would normally think that has to show in the 10th chart. Perhaps it does.
Another set:
The above are in b 8th house and are additionally lighted by c8 sun, ruler of C Asc, at 17 Leo 38. They show that intimate (8th) discord (martial arts fighting—mars/saturn) with others (8th he will achieve public approval (NN).
.Seagal’s astrology for the elections was:
His Angle/venus sets are :
Summed, all of the above show Angle/light/venus/jupiter for the election outcome. A win for Seagal and Trump..
Seagal does have several afflicted sets countering the above—a light/mars with Angular influence, another Angular/light/mars/(pluto), a light/saturn, a mars/node, and an Angle/light/saturn in the form of pB Asc at 16 Virgo 39 conjunct b saturn at 16 Virgo 49 in the same set with pc8 moon at 15 Pisces 53. But the latter also shows return jupiter at 16 Virgo 47, conjunct that progressed MC/saturn, thus alleviating its darker suggestions for the time being.
.Jenner’s Set (a) shows both C Angles in a set with c8 jupiter —for success and self-confidence.
Set (b) is comprised of Angle/node/mars—good for athletic performance, particularly with that all-charts c mars in Capricorn, the sign of mastery and controlled function. Its influence to c 3rd house shows its influence to her thinking.
The unnumbered set above with b sun conjunct B Asc is another set showing self-confidence and dignity, and an ability to pursue one’s essential aims.
I did not check her 10th chart, but this one would surely be a good center of gravity chart representing her athletic success.
Her pertinent benefic sets for the election were:
C sun at 0 Capricorn 40 and pc NN at 1 Aries 52 are boosting-from-below the degree of acceptability of orb for the set above.
The last three sets all involve venus opposition jupiter. While in a birth chart the opposition means the two “fight” each other, here it is the fact that both (in the last two sets) are lighted. That last set influences four Angles and an 8th house.
THE DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL ASTROLOGY
Bernie Sanders was originally included until I realized his birth data was entirely unreliable as to time.
Set (a), which shows mercury/jupitersaturn on two Angles is okay because jupiter and saturn work well together to either consolidate gains (saturn) or mix expansiveness (jupiter) with a certain conservatism (saturn). If the set picks up mars it tend to go negative. If it picks up venus positive. And Set (c) shows venus in a wide set with B MC—usually working when a light is part of the set, and increasing Clinton’s 8th chart good fortune.
But the whole chart took a turn toward affliction when, in Set (b) her birth mars conjunction pluto in Cancer (along with mars harmonic) picked up a light (the node at 19 Libra 14) to create an Angle/node/2mars/pluto, which summed with Set (a), give Clinton Angle/mars/saturn/pluto—the set that accompanies deaths and withdrawals of all kinds. And it was a progression of an Angle to Set (c) for the election which made that set even stronger, influencing two Angles.
Placed as it is in the 8th chart, Clintons Angle/mars/pluto may account for the violent reactions so many others have for her.
Clinton’s “dark malefic” affliction for election day did not occur as all one set. Instead, it occurred through several, and summed they yield the dark malefic of Angle/(light)/mars/saturn. There were no benefics sets to offset them. Here they are:
Summing the above two sets, she has Angle/sun/marssaturn/pluto.
Other significant sets include:
Transiting NN at 2 Aries 22 was still within orb of affecting it.
Progressed b saturn, which started out at birth direct at 27 Cancer 18 and was progressing toward B MC and C Asc, moved over them and turned stationary retrograde at 28 Cancer 40 when she was around 39 years old. On election day it had moved back to 27 Cancer 50, newly afflicting both those Angles.
Return mars at 24 Sagittarius 55 is conjunct pB Asc at 25 Sagittarius 04.
Clinton did have venus on one return (NYC, her place for post-election celebration) Angle and jupiter on the other, but these were her only benefic sets--not enough to counteract her afflictions.
Set (a) above shows us mercury conjunct pluto conjunct B MC, a set that could interpret as indicating a profound (pluto) interest (mercury) in religious values and/or law (or even foreign peoples—all Sagittarius.
Set (b) occurs in all charts and demonstrates Kaine’s high intelligence (Angle/mercury/uranus) as well as his more unorthodox, practical approach to life (in Aries). Neptune in the set shows some idealism.
Set (c), with Angle/node/pluto is okay with the above two sets. It could go negative when accompanied by a progressed Angle/saturn.
Kaine’s significant afflictions for the elections were:
His dark malefic is with:
Kaine does have a few benefic sets, but nothing strong enough to counteract the heavy affliction shown above.
Sets (a) and (b) above show that summed President Clinton has an 8th chart dark malefic. Unnumbered above, the set starting with c saturn in Cancer including venus, jupiter (out-of-sign conjunction) and a node, with influence to C MC, shows a golden benefic with saturn. It is stronger in his 6th chart where b6 moon is at 0 Aries 31.
Sets which show his wife’s loss of the election are:
Angle/venus/saturn shows emotional disappointment, and the set influences three Angles.
We can add c saturn at 0 Cancer 18 to the set, particulary because the midpoint between it and its progressed position is 28 Gemini 37. The set may also include b jupiter at 29 Virgo 14.
C8 mars at 21 Aquarius 35 can also be included in the set. These last two sets represent election dark malefics and a loss.
I do not really know how to interpret Chelsea’s Set (a) in an 8th chart. Without the mars /pluto on the Descendant, she has a summed Angle/mercury/venus with NN conjunct C MC. NN conjunct either Asc or MC is always good for various forms of social approval because one’s growing point (NN) this lifetime is facing what one encounters. That sum would seem to be excellent for being a spokewoman in a Foundation, but it needs research. Perhaps the mars /pluto represents people the foundation helps, e.g., those under severe (pluto)(stress (mars). Or maybe she enjoys the same peculiar unpopularity as her mother.
She has two dark malefics for the election and nothing positive to come anywhere near offsetting them. So that is all I am going to show here:
and
That is, progressed mars and saturn have closed in on her sun/jupiter set. Angle/mars/saturn/neptune represents siege conditions—with b sun co-ruling b 10th house, perhaps her mother’s deep distress.

Barack Obama successfully ran for President of the United States in 2008 and 2012.
Set (a) shows an Angle/sun/mercury. When accompanied by a return, progressed, or transiting light, it becomes Angle/sun/mercury/jupiter. Otherwise, there is nothing remarkable—either for good or bad—about Obama’s 8th chart.
Sets for the election were:
Obama does have one, weaker golden malefic in the form of pc8 venus, ruler of C MC, at 3 Cancer 32 conjunct b3 sun at 3 Cancer 28 and in the same set with pb jupiter at 3 Capricorn 11—a venus opposition jupiter.
A poignant set was formed by pc8 NN at 25 Pisces 49 conjunct pb8 pluto at 26 Pisces 18 falling in c 3rd house, suggesting a potent dip into deepest sorrow.Biden’s Set (a) shows an Angle/mercury/saturn/uranus, normally a set that shows considerable intelligence (mercury/uranus) as well as capacity for working within the system to change it (saturn/uranus). But in some charts this set works out as his reputation for verbal blunders (mercury/saturn/10th chart, for one) and in another, his loss of two of his children before his own death (mercury/saturn/5th chart, probably) as he lost a daughter in an auto accident when she was still very young, and, more recently, his son Beau from brain cancer.
Biden’s pertinent sets for loss of the election are:
It might look like saturn which is moving retrograde, does not belong in the set, but it does because of the two lights and one Angle in the set. Still, this set shows both a benefic and malefic influence to two Angles.
Sun is moving into the set, to be around 9 Cancer 05 on December 9, 2016 (to gives its speed).
He has outstanding benefic sets, and the deciding dark malefic involves:
Although this is a 9:00 PM birth, suggesting a rounded out time, the work done on his election as Pope suggests this time is correct, More on that below.
Set (a) above contains Asc/moon/mercury/mars/saturn. Because it contains mars and saturn at first it seems are negative, full of dissonance. But mercury’s presence makes it a very active intelligence. The SN conjunct saturn in Gemini suggests a deep, serious turn of mind (Gemini and saturn are somewhat opposites in terms of implications), mars a very active one, and the moon/mercury/NN in Sagittarius on B Desc suggest spiritual work with others (7th) which is right for his own spiritual growth. When he was elected pope (3/13/2013, 19:06 PM LMT, Vatican City) transiting pluto at 16 Sagittarius 25 was right on the Sagittarian conjunction.
Moreover, even though Set (a) has extremely positive uses, it remains an 8th chart dark malefic, hardly something one would assume good for election as pope. This chart also has this set, which contains a golden benefic:
The return (Vatican City, 3/7/13) for his election had its Asc at 17 Taurus 32, picking up Set (b) above. Return venus was at 16 Aquarius 42, weighting the set toward benefic expression.
He also had:
Progressed c NN at 9 Sagittarius 54 (coming from 16 Sagittarius 51 at conception) was with b jupiter at 9 Sagittarius 41, showing a second NN/Sagittarian emphasis.
He also has b sun at 2 Sagittarius 04 conjunct b NN at 0 Sagittarius 24..
Even though the Pope’s had one golden benefic set (involving Set (a) above, with the mars/saturn), he had three dark malefics for the U.S. presidential election:
He had the set which often accompanies a rush of feeling, a shock, consisting of:
In Set (a) above, it looks like that b jupiter in Sagittarius is heading toward his C MC, but it turned stationary-retrograde around age 15, and so far in this lifetime, has turned direct again, but is now only at 0 Sagittarius 56. So its promise of a highly benevolent time in his life has never been realized.
Gore’s astrology, along with that of Tiffany Trump, is the only astrology that does not fall in line with the other results in this paper. An endorser of Clinton, his astrology shows her winning. As was the case with Tiffany, there could be a number of reasons for such a result, but it follows from both that either they wanted their candidate to lose, or equally possible, other things were going on in their lives which, for them, far outweighed any results in the national election.
Though I understand the Clinton-Gore connection was not highly prized by Gore, so he may not have wished her success, t is also difficult to assume he would have been happy--as implied by his astrology—that Trump won. So, we are left guessing.
Here is Gore’s 8th chart astrology for the election:
his golden benefic is comprised of
Carter’s had two dark malefics for the election:
There was a jupiter in the set—pc8 jupiter at 19 Capricorn 08, but it is not sufficient to turn neutralize the set.
picture from astrodatabank.com
Former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush dropped out of the 2016 presidential primaries when it was clear Trump had won. He has endorsed Clinton for President.
The only thing that stands out about Bush’s 8th chart relative to planets on Angles is the fact that his b8 mars co-ruler (27 of 31°) of b 8th houses, starts the chart out with a slightly malefic influence through its influence to both Ascendants.
Bush did have one golden benefic for the election comprised of return8 mmon at 7 Libra 46 in the same set with c venus at 5 Aries 00 and c jupiter at 7 Aries 03. It does not influence an Angle, but the Aries conjunction is in c 8th house, and c jupiter rules c 8th. Republicans, did, after all, keep their majority (and even increase it) in both the House and Senate.
Bush’s far more prevalent malefic sets for the election were:
B8 venus ruler of B MC, at 3 Aquarius 56, gives the set a second Angular influence. The two lights in the set—moon and node—increase orb, bringing that c mars into the set. This is an election dark malefic. (However, even if we do not include the mars the set shows a highly emphasized Angle/saturn.)
Set (a) shows both sidereal uranuses in Pisces conjunct C MC, with influence to c 9th house and B Asc in c 9th house, suggesting possible unpleasant surprises in his life in the area of law and foreign affairs. His Set (b) is also problematic since it is conjunct two South Nodes in Scorpio, implying unfavorable social reactions. His b saturn at 20 Scorpio 17 progressed s-l-o-w-l-y over those positions, taking longer than usual because the SN as lights increase orb. Since Scorpio is natural sign of the 8th house, and that house and chart are involved in shared values, during that time period he would have found himself “loser” in that area. I did not check to see if it was there when he lost his bid for President.
His dark malefic for the 2016 election was comprised of:
Return8 venus at 20 Gemini 38 was in the set, but not sufficient to turn it positive.
Blair’s 8th chart is as afflicted as Falwell, Jr.’s is benefic. Set (a) shows and Angle/mars/saturn and Set (a) shows an Angle/moon/2mars. One good thing is the conjunction of c8 NN to CAsc, which favors success.
While Blair has a progressed Angle/jupiter for the 2016 U.S. election, he does not have a golden benefic. He does, however, have a dark malefic:
he also has return8 NN at 18 Aries 12 fitting into the Angle/moon/2mars in Set (a) above.
Sets (a) and (b) above show that summed Feinstein has an 8th chart golden benefic. This seems suitable for someone who has served continuously in the Senate since 1992 (24 years), but we need to look at charts of other long-term house and senate members to see if the same astrology prevails.
Her pertinent election sets were:
her dark malefic is
Examination of the three sets above shows that Brown has all three of those Angles in sets with mercury. Does that make him an excellent negotiator? What would be its 8th chart significance?
As governor of California and a Democrat, it is likely that Brown was interested in the successful election of more than just Hillary Clinton. That, of course, throws his results into the stack of “surrogates” with more than one election interest, rendering his results less than as clear as would be preferred.
So, while he did not have a golden benefic, he did not have a dark malefic either. But his afflictions outweighed his benefic sets by far, so it seems right to call his astrology a loss for Clinton. Here are the worst sets:
Set (a) above shows Asc/sun/mercury/jupiter/uranus. Among other things, it suggests intelligent (mercury) expansion (jupiter) through a combination of sound judgment (sun) and innovation (uranus). At any rate, it tends toward success for Mr. Bloomberg, particularly in matters of investment and elections because jupiter co-rules (18 of 21°) c 8th house.
Bloomberg has a combination of progressed/return benefics and malefics. One of them shows both jupiter and saturn progressed to that C Asc at 2 Taurus 14 shown above. But return8 saturn at 1 Scorpio 53 tips the balance to malefic. In addition on the malefic end he has:
his dark malefic for the elections is
Sets (a) and (b) above summed give de Blasio a golden benefic for this chart. Set (c) shows the potential—as will be seen—for highly benefic or highly malefic results because pluto tends to exaggerate whichever planet it is with.
De Blasio’s astrology is one that is dual—it contains both a golden benefic and two dark malefics, with other mars and saturn affictions dominant (which I will show). As with other “dual results” for surrogates, they likely represent the individual won some and lost some. In de Blasio’s case, as mayor of a huge metropolitan city, he likely endorsed, or favored, other candidates in the 2016 election.
His sets for losing, which we assume included his Clinton loss, are:
This Angle/double light/saturn/pluto influences four Angles.
The last two sets are dark malefics, but without influence to an Angle.
His golden benefic is a nice one comprised of
His B MC in the same set with uranus, shown in Set (b), is good for flexibility and innovation. It occurs often in charts of liberal thinkers and progressives. (But don’t be fooled, it does not have to interpret that way.).
Bradley’s 8th chart election astrology was mostly malefic, but two important positive ones were (a) pc moon, ruler of c 8th house, at 27 Virgo 53 conjunct C MC at 27 Virgo 40 .and pc jupiter , ruler of C MC, at 27 Gemini 38R and (2) t jupiter at 17 Virgo 53 was in the same set with B Asc at 17 Virgo 48 and C Asc at 17 Pisces 37. I did not see a return Angle or light/venus.
His malefic sets were.:
one dark malefic was formed by
His second dark malefic was dependent on the locality of his return Angles. A check with Wikipedia showed that after his divorce from his wife, Ernestine, in 2007 he was living with Betty Sue Flowers, former director of the LBJ library in Austin, Texas. A check of white pages also gave Bradley’s address as Austin. The set was comprised of
Maddow’s good fortune and social prestige is well represented by her jupter conjunct her C MC in Sagittarius. As well, her intelligence and involvement in media/writing/speaking are represented by sun conjunct mercury in the same set. B MC in the same set with uranus suggests a progressive, inconoclastic or in her case, probably, muckraking individual,
Her sets for the loss are:
The above two sets show her intellectual disappointment in election results.
The above set is her election dark malefic.

Set (a) above with Angle/sun/saturn is a potential heart problem significator. It lacks 6th house influence, but could pick that up in other charts when one of those rulers joins the set. Consulting his Wikipedia biography, he had quadruple bypass surgery on his birthday in 2015.
Summing Set (a) with that pluto conjunct C Asc gives an Angle/(sun)/saturn/pluto—a set showing a need for considerable privacy.
The sets in his 10th chart reflecting the immense success of a golden benefic are two that have to be summed. (1) B10 jupiter at 22 Taurus 38 and c10 jupiter at 21 Aquarius 54 are in the same set with C Asc. And (2) the lighted Angular venus influence comes from c NN at 26 Taurus conjunct c uranus at 25 Taurus 18 and b10 sun at 25 Taurus 30 with b venus ruler of B Asc, at 26 Aquarius 16.
His pertinent election sets were:
His dark malefic is comprised of Set (a) above (in the chart drawing) with pc mars ruler of C Asc, t 1 Libra 03 and return NN at 2 Aries 32. The sun and node, as lights, bring these planets all into one set.
Set (a) above has b jupiter on an Angle with C Asc. His sets germane to election outcome were: His dark malefic was comprised of Merkel’s B MC conjunct Node/saturn would sink her politically, but this chart also has the following set: The above set is a golden benefic with influence to two Angles. For the election she had the following:

DiCaprio is a motion picture superstar and probably many other good things.
DiCaprio’s Set (a) above is sweet enough—it shows a golden benefic in Pisces (a great sign for it because venus is well-placed and jupiter is exalted in Pisces), with influence to both 2nd houses. But he has another which occurs in all charts. It is comprised of b sun at 24 Libra 16 conjunct b venus at 25 Linra 30 in the same set with c jupiter at 26 Capricron 26 and c \mcrcury, ruler of C Asc in b 10th house and a light, at 27 Capricorn 30. That jupiter is a lighted jupiter in c 8th house, and can be summed with c venus at 6 Capricorn 06, also in c 8th house, to show golden benefic influence to an 8th house. (The light for venus is b mercury, ruler of B Angles, at 5 Libra 22.). This latter venus set, ironically, plays a part, shown below, in showing Clinton’s loss.
DiCaprio has a mixture of dark and golden benefics for his election astrology. So in the tally, I will declare it mixed, and if it were before the election, I would not use it in deciding the winner.
I do, however, have one set I think relative to Hillary’s loss. It started out as a lighted venus influencing two Angles (a):
Progressions to it for the election were:
The mercury in the set being is a light because of it rules two Angles. So everything that enters the set by progression or transit is effective earlier and even somewhat later than would be normal. Lights increase acceptable orb. So far this is another golden benefic.
Entering the set at (and before) 2:00 AM 11/9/16 we have (c):
We still do not have anything that definitive, but if I assume he was in New York City for the Clinton celebration, then the MC for that reurn is 5 Capricorn 08, putting that mars right on it. Now, regardless of the other sets, it looks the astrology of a loss—an Angle/light/mars/saturn with influence to an 8th house.
THE TWO REPUBLICAN SEATS WITH AVAILABLE BIRTH DATA
picture from en.wikipedia.org
McCain is running for re-election as the Senator from Arizona..
Sets (a) and (b), with venus and mars respectively on Angles, suggest McCain is ready for love or war. That saturn in Set (a) is retrograde (and still so by progression), so though it is part of the set, it has been moving out and away from it his whole lifetime.
McCain’s election results are reflective of his position at the time. He was running for re-election, and at the same time was endorsing Hillary Clinton, the candidate of the “opposite” party. Accordingly, his astrology for election day shows a golden benefic and a dark malefic. I attributed the former to his own win, and the latter to Hillary’s loss, though I don’t know that I would have been able, prior to the election (without doing any more astrology—his 10th chart is highly supportive of his win for himself) to have figured out which was which.
Here are those two sets.
The dark malefic is comprised of
The golden benefic is made up of
A close look at the drawing above shows that one-by-one Ryan has Angle/mars, Angle/jupiter, Angle/neptune, and Angle/uranus. It is the Angle/jupiter one, Set (a), which is going to help him all his life with success and well-being. Right now, however, it is afflicted by pc saturn at 10 Aries 04 while that jupiter is afflicted by pc8 saturn at 10 Libra 44. So far as we know now, they are showing up primarily in his rough ride as House Speaker vis-à-vis his non-endorsement of Trump. Since it last well beyond the election, it may also work out as blocks and stops being house leader afterwards.
Ryan also had one dark malefic and one golden benefic for the election. In retrospect, it is easy to interpret them as the golden benefic representing his own win in his re-election and the malefic as him not wanting Trump’s win. Not that that meant he wanted Clinton to win. It is tricky.

Personal Note
My dark malefic for election day was comprised of pc8 sun, ruler of c 8th house, at 23 Aquarius 23 conjunct pc8 mars, ruler of C MC and c 3rd house, at 23 Aquarius 11 and in the same set with t8 saturn at 23 Scorpio 00. Looking at how fast the latter was moving, at 2 AM on 11/8/16 (24 hours earlier) it was at 21 Scorpio 55, and 24 hours earlier than that, at 20 Scorpio 50. Return Asc was at 22 Aquarius 28.
Discussion
Typical American presidential election results can be looked at for 2 AM, plus or minus several hours each way, usually minus, the day after the election. For this election those particular moments in time do show one political party, identified with one candidate, experienced joy; while the other group experienced pain. They do show that that one particular group was highly likely to win. And, assuming that results like this continue to occur each election (I think they will) they show that for every election one particular party is predisposed, with varying margins, to win.
Moreover, what is being defined as the “political party” can be seen here to include various non-American individuals worldwide. We saw above that the Pope and Angela Merkel “lost” the election. Newscasters on each side won or lost according to their preference. So did famous people.
It follows, assuming Vladimir Putin really wanted Trump to win (it certainly appeared so), his 8th chart astrology would have demonstrated a golden benefic for the 2016 U.S. election. By itself it would tell us nothing about whether or not he interfered in the election.
In America in 2016 about 42% of eligible voters did not vote. We do not know anything about their astrology for the election.
The astrology for any individual, following birth, does not change its prescribed path from birth, nor do transits to it. For instance, for each of us the astrology for our 20th year plus transits is set. It is a function of the movement of the planets, directed to a future point, from each of our exact birth times. Planetary movements are so regular that software companies use formulas to create ephemerides of planetary motion. Because of progressions and transits we get change, but that change for each individual has a course set at the time of his birth. So, for instance, that 20th year astrology for each remains the same astrologically for all time. It is fixed and not dependent on cultural or personal factors.
Personal choice and individual will make some difference in how we each handle our astrology in that 20th year. But they do not change the disposing factors of the astrology. So, the astrology for all on election day 2016 was the same when they were born and will be the same two hundred years from now. Necessary current information is always who is running and who supports him.
So, in 1900 for instance, we cannot predict who (or even which party) will win the election in 1950 because in 1900 we have no idea who will be running.
If we move far enough away from the particulars of this (or any) election, we see that what occurs in democratic elections is a sort of rhythm best portrayed by the Chinese symbol of yin and yang and their continual flux in terms of dominion and recession relative to each other.
Here, from Alan Tsai, is a demonstration of how the Yin/Yang symbol—that icon of eternal rebalancing—came into being:
There is usually a circle around the Yin/Yang symbol. It stands for the unity that together they create. The small circles usually inside the fattest parts of each demonstrate that a little of the opposite pole is always inside each and that nothing can ever become totally yin or yang.
It is clear in our voting democracy that power in government, in the form of new Presidents and their cabinets and appointees, changes sides every four to twelve years. We have an ever changing rotation of Republican to Democrat to Republican to Democrat. Only Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected to four terms, and even then, he died early in his last term. Now the president is legally limited to eight years, but his party’s power in Congress is not.
Every now and then the "alt-right" (national dictatorship) or the "alt-left" (communist dictatorship) comes into power and stays there for longer periods of time. This is not surprising because both types of regimes do not allow voting, or if they do, the result is fixed. The typical democratic swing from side to side is interrupted.
We have historical examples of regimes which have stayed in power for a very long time or even several generations, e.g., in North Korea. Stalin was in power for thirty-some years. Opposing groups still exist—those aligned with the dictator, and those not—but the opposition is not allowed the reality of acquisition of power. Unfortunately, I do not have the birth data to examine them.
The same fertile field for research, when data is available, likely involves kings and queens, popular and unpopular, dying in office or being ousted.
Here, from the book, The Act of Living, by Walter Carrington, is his statement about yin-yang as it applies to the rib cage in breathing:
It is a counterbalance of forces. The principle of counterbalance of forces is not just a philosophical matter, it is a very practical engineering principle. By getting the counterbalance correct, you can then minimize the amount of effort and energy to be exploited to get the large effects that you need.
Exactly so. That is why the two groups should work together for acceptable compromise. Or else. Or else huge expenditures of energy and money in “undoing” each other’s effects. That is, waste.
With President-elect Trump’s threats to dismantle all previous accomplishments, we appear about to see one of those huge expenditures of energy. But some of that is just deal-making bluff, so, it is Wait and See.
Until now, it has not been clear how tied together electional astrology is among candidates of the same party. Bernie Sanders midnight 8th chart for 9/8/1941 also contained the losing set:
This set would have been valid even if his birth time was off for several hours either way. He also had pc8 mars, ruler of C Asc, at 16 Pisces 03 conjunct c SN at 15 Pisces 45, an unpleasant set.
We saw that Bill Clinton, Biden, Obama, Carter, and Mondale etc. had losing astrology. (The disaffection of so many highly placed Republicans like the Bush family from their party’s candidate was unique to this election. Otherwise, their astrology--winning or losing--would have matched that of their candidate.) The Democratic astrology would remain the same--losing for this 2016 election--no matter who their candidate was. Therefore, no Democrat could have won.
The results shown above in the Tally say nothing about why or how the election was won or lost. They do not prove (or disprove) any fraud or cheating. They have nothing to say about the worthiness of either candidate. They do not prove that Donald Trump, from birth, was destined to become President of the United States. They do show that once he ran in 2016, compared with Hillary Clinton and her camp, he was going to win. His surrogates compared with her surrogates also show he was going to win.
From the point of view of these results, specific for "election day," then, it is impossible to say whether or not Putin's interference, FBI Director Comey's announcements, or Jill Stein's siphoning off of votes from Clinton contributed to, detracted from, or were indifferent to the final result. Or if changing any one of them or all of them would have made any difference. Teleologically, were they factored in the result, or were they exceptions?
It could be asked, what about Gore? He had winning astrology. Could he have run for president and won? Not unless all those Democrats and their surrogates were against him. That would explain his winning and their losing astrology. So what would his winning astrology have represented if he HAD run? I do not know. It is an interesting question.
Finally, the never-ending flux of governing political principles appears to have nothing to do with either party having a superior ideology or morality. Not that those arguments cannot be made, they appear not to determine what happens—who ends up with the power. Human life is caught up in this matrix of building, destroying, building, destroying. Each side considers itself the “builder.” and, in their process, becomes the destroyer of previous opposite-party accomplishments. That works out well enough when the swing to each side does not get too big. Otherwise, it gets very expensive.
Data Acknowledgments
Letters following the name show Rodden rating for reliability of birth time. As memory serves me, (AA) means verified by birth record on hand, (A) means something similar but slightly less reliable, B means from a biography, C means reasonably okay but not from verified public records, (DD) stands for "dirty data," i.e., not at all verified or verifiable, therefore unreliable. Birth dates are listed in the same order as presented in the paper.

William Jefferson Clinton (A??)
Birth: 8/19/1946, 8:51 a.m. CST, Hope, AK. From Astrodatabank, note in hand from Mrs. Virginia Kelley, Clinton's mom, to Shelley Ackerman with the time hand-written. She gave the same data in an interview with "Family Circle" magazine of 2/02/1993, p.23.
(Virginia Miller quoted Clinton for the time of 7:30 AM given without hesitation.
(David Maraniss "First in his Class" stated that Clinton was born one hour after dawn, "Details of his birth from Edith Cassidy's records, in possession of her niece, Myra Irvin. As his grandmother was a nurse who worked at the local hospital, she would probably have taken her daughter into the hospital for the birth." (Source detailed in the Notes section of the biography.) (Dawn is 5:24 AM)
(Kathy Forrest called 10/13/96 to relate that she had talked to Clinton's mom about four years back and that she had said he was born at 7:30 AM. Kathy asked "Are you sure?" and the mom said "I should be, I'm his mother." Virginia Kelley relates in the Maraniss biography that her Bill was an eight-month baby, despite his birth weight of nearly 8 1/2 lbs. Her husband, Blythe, returned from Italy where he was stationed eight months before Bill was born.
(Edith Custer sent a long letter from Rowena Wall dated 6/121/95 in which she related that when Clinton began his campaign she asked her mom, who lives in Pine Bluff, AR, to see if she could get his birth data. Her mom replied that she found the data in a book in the library that had the birth certificate in it, giving 3:44 AM. When this information was printed in AFA DX No.104 (5/02/92), both Mark Lerner and Ken Irving called the library but were told that no such book was there. When Rowena Wall asked her mom to double-check, the alleged biography could not be found, making the quote impossible to verify.)
