We Celebrate the Web of Life

We celebrate the web of life,
Its magnitude we sing;
For we can see divinity
In every living thing.

A fragment of the perfect whole
In cactus and in quail,
As much in tiny barnacle
As in the great blue whale.

Of ancient dreams we are the sum;
Our bones link stone to star,
And bind our future worlds to come
With worlds that were and are.

Respect the water, land, and air
Which gave all creatures birth,
Protect the lives of all that share
The glory of the earth.

Hello and welcome to my world! I am Sande, otherwise known as AlecSandra, or Rose and of course, as Mom (and the *cool* Aunt) to those I am close to. I am the youngest of 8 kids and I grew up in SE Michigan near Lake Erie. I come from a very large extended family as both of my parents came from large families and all of their brothers and sisters have lots of kids, so a lot of cousins for me. I myself have TWO wonderful children, one who is 21 and a grown up man and the other who is 17 and on his way to being a responsible adult. I am kind of eccentric in my beliefs and people don't understand me in many ways. My kids and I have lived all over the USA and have enjoyed meeting new people and being in new places.

Oh yeah, my favorite drink is Coca-cola. I am in no way associated with that magnificent retailer, except through my lips. The Coca-cola symbols are all trademarked through them, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Be sure to check out the other areas of my ramblings...

Meet me!

I grew up in Monroe County, Michigan and in Toledo, Ohio. I have two sons, Joshua, who is 21 and Andy, who is 17. You can see Andy's website here.

We left an abusive situation in June of 1989 and we have lived all over the US. We have lived in Colorado, California, North Carolina, South Dakota and New Jersey. Here are some photos of all of our favorite places.

One of our favorite places to go is an amusement park in Ohio, called Cedar Point, where two years ago they opened a great new ride, the Millennium Force. The Millenium Force coaster rises over 300 feet off the ground. Yeeehaw!

I have had a lot of grief in my life, having lost three brothers, a sister, a wonderful sister-in-law and both of my parents. The father of my son also passed away. I have some pages of things I wrote for my Mom, called Two Roses for Mom, my Dad, called A Letter to Dad.

I am the creator and editor of an online magazine, called Fem~Zine. Feel free to look it over and tell me what you think of it. I also have another website that has graphics that are free for anyone who wants to use them. I believe in giving freely all that I can to help another person out. I don't even care if there is a link to my site, although it would be nice. : ) I do ask, though, that you transload or download them.

I have been a single parent for most of my children's lives and have a great single parenting page. I am also the owner of a single parent group at YahooGroups if you are interested in finding out more about it.

I have found some neat things on my journeys over the net and in life that I would like to share. The first is a joke called You know you're from Colorado if.... Then there is a friendship poem I especially like that I have dedicated to my best friend, Julie.

Julie gave me this locket. We have been best friends for over 17 years and I am proud to call her "friend". I also have a few favorite poems, if you'd care to check them out. I also collect cool quotes. Here are a few of my favorites. I found some really neat thoughts for living and they are here.

You can learn more about me on the jumping off point for the rest of my site.... ;-o or my personal info page . I really am a fascinating person....................LOL
