With your mast resting on hobby horses, mount two eye straps vertically
on either side of the mast at height "A" above the gooseneck using
the drill and the 1/2" self-taping screws.
Fasten the third eyestrap on the underside of the boom at position "B"
using the 1/2" screws.
Mount the final eyestrap on the underside of the boom at position "C"
with the remaining 1/2" screws.
Mount the horn cleat on the underside of the boom at distance "D"
from the gooseneck using the 1 1/2" self-taping screws.
Cut two long lengths of the 5-mm line to the "E" measurement in
the diagram. Seal the ends with a hot knife or lighter. Next, using the
waxed sailmaker's thread and a needle, whip the small bullet blocks to
each of the cut lengths. Lastly, using a compact bowline, tie the ends
of the two lines to the eyestraps on the mast. Next, using the waxed thread
and needle, lash the second two blocks to the ends of the medium-length
lines. Lead these two lines through the blocks attatched to the lines on
the mast. Now take the free ends and tie each to the eyestrap at position
"B" using compact bowlines. Do not cut the lines at "B" as
they will need to be adjusted for length once the system is fully rigged
and you are out sailing. Next, attach the short lines to the eyestraps
at "C" and lead the free ends through the blocks at the end of the
medium lines. Tie off the port and starboard lines onto the horncleat at
"D".
