After World War III, the ruined parts of Earth was re-constucted and renamed Olympus. This pollution free and 'perfect' world is run by a mother computer named Gaia and is one of the few nations to recover from World War III. Besides the remaining surviors of human race, bioroids, (part human, part mechanic) also live in Olympus.

However, regardless of how perfect Olympus is, it is still not free from terrorists. And in order to curb all terrorist activites, the ESWAT(Extra Special Weapons and Tactics) is set up. Our story concentrates on Deunan, a policewoman, her bioroid partner, Briareos and the ever elusive terrorist mastermind.

Although Appleseed is a rather old comic, the animation is still as fanastic as any other.
