This manga by Yu Watase is a completed set of 18 books, one of the most popular manga around with fantastic artwork and good story development.
It tells the story of a modern day school girl, Miaka, who was absorbed into a old scroll and transported into ancient China. There she met her prince, Tamahome, who was determined to ignore her at first.
Things get trickier when she realised that in order to return to her own world, she had to become the priestress and summons the Suzaku. Unfortunately, her good friend was also caught in the scroll and by mistake, they turned against each other. A climax at around Bk 7 where we see the end of the first season.
