News from the year 2002: Dutch international midfielder who plays for Italian side, Inter Milan, Clarence Seedorf, has single-handedly financed the construction of a stadium in Surinam at a cost of $1.6 million dollars. Seedorf, now 25, left Surinam where he was born, at the age of two.He built the stadium on his own parcel of land, 32 kilometres from the capital Paramaribo.
