Regarding the Green Day B-Movie, first of all it's not a hoax. Billie Joe announced in the press tents of the Video Music Awards that Green Day is planning to do a Horror film where they will both star and provide music. They have asked No Doubt's Gwen Stefani to play a roll in the movie. Any more information that comes to me I'll post.

Anyhow, Green Day took home the Award Wednesday night for "Best Alternative Video" for Good Riddance, but lost the Viewer's Choice Award to Puff Daddy. While accepting the award, Billie Joe Armstrong exclaimed his usual, "Oh, shit", and flipped off a member of the crowd. In the opening act of the video awards, Billie (jokingly) announced that Green Day will be changing their name to the Susan Luchi trio, due to the nominations. And then during the interview of the Foo Fighters in the opening act, Tre' screamed out loud from behind, making it noticable to the public

Green Day have been rewarded for their high energy stage performance by winning Kerrang's 'Best Internation Live Act' award. An awkward moment didn't seem to bother the band as Wattie Buchan, singer of Exploited, came onstage to deliver the award, and upon opening up the envelope, muttered "I don't fucking believe it," and stalked off stage -- before even revealing who the winner was. The band acted like nothing had happened, doesn't sound like something Green Day would do does it? public

In typical Tre Cool fashion, at the end of Green Day's set he decided to light his drum set on fire like he has been doing throughout the Nimrod tour. Problem was this time a large amount of damage was done to the V98 stage where Green Day where participating in a rock festival. Site fire officers were called to the side of the stage when fire engulfed the drum riser and threatened to spread across the stage. Black smoke could be seen belching from the top of the structure. V98 promoter Bob Angus says over a hundred pounds' worth of damage was done to electrical cables in the incident which he put down to "high-jinks". The band were unaware of the chaos they'd caused onstage as they were outfront crowd-surfing at the time.

For un-disclosed reasons Billie has decided to decline the opportunity to make a guest appearance on an episode of the 'Drew Carey Show' this season. The rumoured GD e.p. with all the bands b-sides is a complete hoax, don't believe it. And if you hadn't heard already, Adrienne is due to deliver her and Billie's second child sometime in the next few weeks, so congratulations to them.
