Asian players in difficulty (20-04-'01)
Some Asian (Korean?) players from Royal Antwerp FC, where Korean player Seol also plays, are in difficulty. The Belgian government is looking for players who are illegal in Belgium. There are seven clubs in the first division with illegal players. The illegal players at Antwerp are Kim-Hyun-Ki, Nam-Kung-Do, Shin-Young-Rok, Ki-Sang-Ho and Siarhei Shtaniuk.

The newspapers tell us that Lee Sang-Il will play for Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen (GBA for short) next season. The clubs haven't confessed this rumour yet.

Beveren itself has no problems with illegal players. The club has still some financial difficulty, but the newspapers tell us that the English club Arsenal will help Beveren. The managers of the club told the fans last week that everything will be OK.

Still problems in Beveren (17-03-'01)
Beveren has still got financial problems. If they can't find money than they will go down to the third division! The management is doing it's best to make sure that there will be a KSK Beveren in the first division next season.

Will Lee Sang Il leave Beveren? (09-03-'01)
A newspaper in Belgium writes that Lee Sang Il will leave Beveren for Antwerp. Antwerp is a club which plays in the same division as Beveren does. Royal Antwerp FC has another Korean player in the team: attacker Seol.

Beveren is saved! (01-03-'01)
Beveren has finally found some money!!! An Italian bank wanted to give a financial injection, now the management of Beveren has found some money of its own. The club will be put in a group where Italians have more to say. That is of course because they put a lot of money in the club.
Beveren had sent it's files for the license wednesday. It's not perfect, but the club is working very hard to get everything in order.

Is Beveren still OK? (28-02-'01)
Beveren has sent their files to get a license for next season. They had to be OK with the financial picture, the stadium, the trainers and lots of other stuff. Almost all other teams in the First Division have also asked for a new 'license'. Without a license a club would go down to the Third Division. Beveren must now wait to hear if their files are OK.
Dutch and Belgian teams are trying to get defenders from Beveren (names: Davy Theunis and Gunther De Meyer). Beveren is not planning to let them go very easily.

Troubles in Beveren (26-02-'01)
Today there will be a important meeting in Beveren. The club has financial problems and it must find about 3 million dollar before 1 March. If they don't find the money, they could go down to the third division. There are potential investors from all over the world, right now there is a group from South-America. We keep you informed in this page...
