One day they are blind, naked, and deaf and the next they're on to the shows!
The rabbit that I decided to keep track of, is a Black Silver Marten Jersey Wooly--What a CUTIE!!
1 Day Old...
This kit was born at about 5 am! The mother is Leapin' Shakira. This
is her second litter, and she delivered 4 kits. The baby is blind, and
can't hear. The color of the kit is a Black Silver Marten. It has
a thin layer of fuz surrounding it's tiny body, and it
just ate, so it's belly is really fat!
1 Week Old...
Today the kit turned one week old! The babies are still blind and deaf,
but they are growing silky fur. I have noticed that this kit
loves to sleep! The nest box is getting more and more crowded!
2 Weeks Old...
The kit can see! It is always squinting, and its ears are opening, and
it can hear lound noises. Its litter mates and it are starting
to come out of the nest box, and their mommy is very protective!
Its fur is getting fluffier too!
3 Weeks Old...
Wow! She is already 3 weeks old, and she's a doe! Her fur is again, getting
more wool-like, and she's starting to eat oats and drink out of
the water bottle! She's growning rapidly now, and is very curious!
4 Weeks Old...
She is maturing into a beautiful young wooly! I have decided to name
her Roxie. She is the sweetest, and calmest of all the kits in
the litter. She will make a GREAT showmanship bunny, due to her
gentleness! I think Roxie is becoming a little show bunny as well!
