Details: I picked up my car for only $1,900. Put it on the trailer and got it home. Right away before I could drive it I did a basic service; rear-end oil, motor oil & filter, tranny oil, coolant, cap, rotor, points and condensor, and greased the front wheel bearings. It also needed the brakes done. I started out by replacing all the wheel cylinders, then I replaced the master and the pads. After that I drove it around for a while and it just seemed like it needed a little more go. Yes!!! Time to start upgrading. When I purchased it the previous owner had put a Holley 4-barrel 400CFM carb and a Offenhauser intake manifold. It was getting plenty of fuel but it wasn't able to burn it all so I installed a MSD 6A unit. That helped significantly. I drove it around for a little longer, that was when I realized that I needed some tunes; yep time to install a stereo. Next up the car handled horrible. Time to do the suspension. I got a 1 1/4in sway bar in the front and a 3/4in sway bar in the rear to take care of my body role problems. Then I got stiffer springs for the front and KYB Gas Shocks. Well I was doing the suspension I figured I might as well do my wheels to give it a nice look. I picked up Centerline Telstar wheels, 15x6 for the front that I mounted BF Goodrich Euro T/A 195/50-15 tires on. And for the rear 15x7 rims that BF Goodrich Euro T/A 225/50-15 tires went on; without doing and modifications to the body this is the widest tire that you can fit in the rear (I have a 1/2in clearance on each side of the tire). Then I decided to help the motor breathe as much a possible so I got a 2 1/2in aluminized mandrel bent exhaust installed that goes through a Flowmaster Delta Flow 40 before it exits out the back of the car. Not only does it sound good, but it runs great too. I went to a swap meet and picked up a pair of 1973 Camaro bucket seats and installed them because I was sick of the bench. Now I am trying to chase even more speed so I installed a Muncie M-21 four speed with some nice Hurst linkage. I also now just installed disk brakes, a Wilwood proportioning valve and a line lock. Next up is time for the V8.  I started building this, had all the machine work done, everything balanced and I blueprinted it as I built it.  It is running a forged crank with forged rods and pistons Dart Iron Eagle heads and all the other good stuff to make a 327 to pump out over 400 H.P.  If you want detailed specs of the motor like compression and cam specs just email me.  Next up I am going to be putting in a Ford 9" rear end that has 3.73 gears with possi.  Before the rear end my fastest time at the drag strip was 14.343 sec @ 105.45 MPH.  The only problem with this time is that I didn't launch because right now I have a 10 bolt rear end that is a one-legger with 3.08 gears.
