Alex was born in Fleet on the 8th of January 1982. He signed for Reading as a trainee on the 1st of August 1999. He started one league game for Reading and had a further 2 subs appearances, also getting a start in the League Cup game against Peterborough on the 24th of August 1999.
Alex joined Carlisle on a free on the 20th of august 2001 and showed himself to be a lively enthusiastic midfielder. Unfortunately after playing just 4 games for Carlisle Alex suffered cruciate ligament damage during the game against Darlington away on the 8th of September 2001. He will most likely be out of action for the rest of the season, a horrible injury for anyone to have to cope with, we wish him a speedy recovery. Alex was released at the end of the 2001/02 season.
