Emanuel Sandhu, a talented young skater who is going to take the world by storm! He has had many hurdles to overcome throughout the past years, but he has overcome them and is now our Canadian men's champion!!!!
In Emanuel's first year competing in the senior level, he captured a surprising silver medal, which began his three year consecutive 2nd place showing in Canada. He was left off of the olympic team in 1998, which arguementally can be blamed for setting him back. He did not qualify to finish in the 1999 World championships, and was left off the world team in 2000. (The CFSA voted in favour of Ben Ferreria instead.)
But not this year!!! Emanuel has secured a place at the world championships, accompanying the likes of Jennifer Robinson, and Bourne & Kratz. He put down a flawless long programme, landing a beautiful quad-toe triple-toe combination. He even received a perfect 6.0 for technical elements, a mark rarely given out to any skater.
We wish him luck at the Four Continents Championships and at Worlds!
