In the day's first game, Santa Monica got past LA Trade Tech to reach the consolation final. PF Ronald Eskridge had a big game with 19 pts and 10 rebs for the Corsairs. Reserve G Daniel McGaffeny had a huge effort off the bench with 12 pts, 4 asts and 3 steals, which came in handy since Marko Mihailovic missed virtually the entire second half with foul trouble. Mihailovic finished with 8 pts and 5 asts before fouling out with 5:46 to play. LATT's SG Diamond Johnson led all scorers with 22 pts and also handed out 4 asts.
