In the other semifinal, host Citrus (7-1) topped East LA (2-5), 102-85. The Owls got a huge performance from SF Jason Davis from off the bench - he finished with 28 pts, 13 rebs and 6 asts, with 24 of those pts coming in the second half. SG Ralph Steele had 26 pts for the Owls. East LA rallied from a 20-point deficit midway through the second half to draw within 6 but faded down the stretch. East LA Coach Calienes, visibly upset about the officiating, had his players foul Citrus as soon as they got the ball even after the outcome was decided, dragging out the final 2 minutes and allowing Citrus to reach the 100-point mark.

Coach Calienes (East LA) was visibly upset with the officiating and had his players foul Citrus whenever they got the ball during the last 2 minutes, even after the outcome of the game was no longer in doubt. Hence the ridiculous FT totals for the Owls.
